213642 I haven't read it, but that's one of my Hubby's favorite authors. He's read most of his books, I think He is just missing the latest one. He thinks the guy is funny.

The Blurb:
Being kidnapped by aliens is only the start of Jade's problems. Thankfully, her rescuers, an alien race known as the Clecanians, are willing to protect her, but she has to stay on their planet for one year and respect the rules of their culture--including choosing a husband. Jade refuses at first but decides to play along until she can find a way back to Earth.

Theo, a scarred mercenary who prefers a life of solitude, is stunned when Jade selects him as her husband. After years of being passed over, he never imagined he would be chosen and neither did anyone else. Only one explanation makes sense…the curvy enticing female must be a spy, and Theo’s determined to break her cover using any means necessary.

As Jade and Theo are forced to spend time together, their chemistry becomes undeniable. But neither can afford to bring love into the equation, especially since Jade seems determined to go home. After all, she can't possibly stay here, right?

My Review:

I enjoyed this a lot. It was a good story with a good pacing, and likable characters. Though I'm not a fan of insta-love - that's just me, I still was able to enjoy the story and accept their pairing. It kept my attention throughout the story. I enjoyed it and I look forward to the next.

213642 Shameless plug for my debut Erotic Romance novel (under a pen name), debuting 4/4/20!

It’s business as usual for Kenzie in her boudoir studio. Every day, fascinating people of all genders stroll through and Kenzie has the privilege of making them shine. She’s photographed the gamut: sultry brides-to-be seeking a naughty gift for their spouse, the confidant trans person showing the world their true self, and triads locked in passion, each moment of their tender lovemaking on display.

Kenzie’s been a part of it all, but never has a client captivated her so completely, until she steps through the door.

Ripley never recuperated from the relationship that irrevocably changed her. Desperate to forget the past, she moves to the progressive town of Bijou Basin, pursuing a fresh start. While acquainting herself with her new life, she notices an advertisement for an erotic nude photographer. On a whim, she books a session, hoping the experience will help her reclaim her identity.

Sparks fly for both women, but Ripley discovers there’s more to Kenzie than meets the eye. Can Ripley accept Kenzie as she is and does she want to date someone so complicated? Can Kenzie prove she’s worth it?

Authors Note: This slow burn erotic romance features adult themes and language. Themes include: graphic sex, BDSM, Polyamory & LGBTQ+ Characters.

213642 I only got to one of my books this month - though I may listen to one of the others tonight for my 3rd book in a series, since I still need one.

I read You're Going to Mars! by Rob Dircks and really loved it. It actually kept me up all night as I listened to the audiobooks. The characters were good and the story was good. Quite fun. Thanks for the pick!

213642 Sorry, Jenny, I meant to answer you the other day and forgot about it. :/ Thanks Teddie for catching us up.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that Cait isn't participating any more. I did do a book for Ch 8 and didn't post it. Looks like those of us still active have read the 3 books alloted, so lets add another book. One we've read in the time since would work so this book can be officially done. :) I'll take 13 since we can't do back to back ones and the two of you have 12/14.

213642 Thanks, Sunshine, for the picks!!

Jenny - my picks for you:

Glory in Death (In Death, #2) by J.D. Robb - you're even further behind on this series than Angie. LOVE these books, and just read the 50th - you gotta catch up! :D

The Silent Corner (Jane Hawk, #1) by Dean Koontz - this has been on my TBR a while, so I'd like to know what you think.

Bonus: Blood of My Blood (I Hunt Killers, #3) by Barry Lyga - might as well finish this trilogy out. I enjoyed it.
Mar 03, 2020 07:44PM

213642 Yup, you pick for the person under you. :D 2 books - or more if you'd like. :D
Mar 03, 2020 07:32PM

213642 Hey, Jenny. I did read one of my books - the 2nd Lincoln Rhyme - read it in the start of the month and forgot to come back.

I'm so up in the air about this series. I dislike Lincoln, like a lot. At first, the second bored me, but then it really picked up and by the end, I loved the mystery. I'm hating the characters but like the mysteries, so I'm sticking with it for now. Do you watch the show? He's an ass on it too, but not as bad, I don't think.

4 stars
