i think it's expensive to produce. to make an apple taste like grape can't be easy, and it doesn't happen naturally. plus, it's not like carmel apples where they can just dip it in.

i know! they have through vol 4 up. so it's quite exciting! i took a peek at it before the break, and it looks really cute

yeah, my family just thinks i'm "whimsical" or something. but whatever. if it makes me happy and doesn't hurt me or others, it can't be that bad

lol! i know! it's like i have to do a double take at the author for it to register.

i think that happens to everyone

haha! but you really don't want a teacher to grade on a true curve. it basically ends up that the entire class competes to the at the top to ensure they get an a. it's basically a certain amount of ppl get a certain grade.
ex:
20 ppl are in class.
2 get a's
5 get b's
10 get c's
3 get f's
tada! curve! yeah, but when people say they grade on a curve, they typically don't mean it in that way.
i've heard good things about angelic layer. i haven't gotten around to that one yet.

yeah, it can be whatever book/series we pick to read that month. since our group doesn't limit discussion to just clamp, i don't see how it wouldn't go against the spirit of the group to read other things too.

i keep seeing this series in the comic book store, and i must say, it always catches my attention. anyway, i was wondering if people in our group have read it, and what you thought about it.

When Kamui returns to Tokyo, he learns that his childhood girlfriend Kotori and psychic Princess Hitoni are having strange dreams about his role in a coming apocalypse! Is he the angel of salvation, or the devil of destruction?

i was looking through clamp's books, and noticed this series. it sounds like "soul rescue," but clamp-ified. the books are to be released in spring 2010, but are currently available on mangafox.com. totally excited for a new clamp book!

Hanato Kobato is on a mission: she has a wish she wants granted. To do this, she has to mend the wounded hearts of the people she meets on her journey and fill up a magical bottle with the suffering she has relieved. The only catch is, she can't fall in love with any of the people she helps. It seems like that's the least of her problems, though; Kobato has no clue how to mend hearts ...especially since each person's heart is different. So what's Kobato to do? Well, she has Ioryogi-san, a cute blue dog with a seriously bad attitude, to help (read: nag and critique) her ...Yikes! Looks like the road to getting her one wish is going to be a long and hard one. Will Kobato get her wish in the end? And just what is it that Kobato wants?

have you had a grapple? they are so yummy! but yes, grapple is also a super fun word.

yeah, my family buys me lots of books. i think it's b/c they are easy to find. maybe, who knows.

they have so much! it's kind of tough to remember all of them!

ah, must be nice. well, sometimes that's nice. but when you have really hard classes later, it makes them seem extra hard when they are followed by an easy class/semester.

no problem! it makes it seem like they're not so far off.
for book/series of the month, we can pick a series and read it "together." more like discuss it throughout the month. i can put up a poll for what we want to read for the next month, and put up a discussion for our book of the month. i guess you can tell i'm pretty excited about it.

makes sense. my learning curve isn't always the greatest, so i'll do my best to figure things out

i finished this series the other day, and it was soo good! i wish there was another book to really tie up all of the loose ends. but i think that's how clamp likes to write there stuff. it leaves you thinking about stuff. plus, it was kind of a sad ending too.

Anyway- newest events:
Tsubasa release dates for vol. 25 - 27.
XXXHolic vol. 14

I've added some Clamp book releases for some of our events. From what I understand, the release dates are correct. If not, please let me know (like if you've already seen the book on sale in stores).
Anyway- what other events would you guys like to see? We can write fan-fiction, pick a book (clamp or not) to read and discuss over the month, etc. I think a book or series of the month would be fun. Plus, we can add another book discussion topic.
