208213 Hey everyone! Keeping up with how we organized this month's rec post on ONTD (with book recs by continent), this thread is for everyone to discuss the books they've chosen to read by Oceanic authors (remember - only women whom you've never read anything by before).

Tell us which book you've chosen, what it's about, whether you liked it and would rec it, etc. You can also use this topic to ask for more recs!

Yeah, I was thinking about the discussion posts for this month - I don't know if there's going to be much overlap with everyone's choices cause it's such an open theme, so do you guys want to maybe do one discussion post for each continent?

Hmmm no, I don't think so...

208213 Also - heads up if anyone is still looking for a book to read. I just picked up Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson and it fits this month's theme. There are impostors and an identity thief. I haven't finished it yet but I'm really enjoying it. It's a bit of The Lies of Locke Lamorra meets the jacobins, with magic.

208213 I think that does count, Alyssa ;)

208213 I read Republic of Thieves (Gentlemen Bastards #3) by Scott Lynch this month. It was not great. It was definitely missing the fun from the first two books in the series, but I'm glad I crossed it off my TBR and am all caught up with the series. Hopefully the next one will be better!

Could be the translation, too (I imagine you're reading in English?).

ummm, I'm gonna go with a no on The Wolf of Wall Street... since it is more about Wall Street crimes?

208213 Congratulations on getting all the letters, Eve!!
208213 We have regular book posts on ONTD and they are a great way of finding new books to read. It can be something recommended in the post itself, or a book that an ONTDer says they liked, or you can ask for more specific recs in the comments!
