Hi Katherine! I’m afraid In Order to Live is not eligible for this challenge, as the author is North Korean.

Hello everyone, popping by to let everyone know the January post with South Korea recs will be up on ONTD TOMORROW! So keep a look out for it!

Any award you want - you can go high-brow with the Nobel Prize for Literature, the Booker Prize or the National Book Award, explore what’s best in speculative fiction with the Hugo and Nebula awards, get scared by the Shirley Jackson or Bram Stoker Awards, read women with the Women’s Prize for Fiction, fall in love with the Romance Writers of America (RITA Awards), etc!

This month we will be reading a book about or with a prominent creepy character. Now we’re not talking straight-up scary, like a monster, but creepy, an insidious character that gets under your skin and gives you the heebie-jeebies.

We don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable or excluded from the challenge, so we decided to change it. Please adjust your challenge accordingly. We know this causes changes of plans and we are sorry for causing any inconvenience.

Read a book about or with a prominent character who is a curmudgeon: a crotchety, grumpy, cantankerous character (regardless of age or sex).

Re-read a book that sparks joy for you or read a feel-good book.

Wow Juliana... you are on a roll
I have been too stressed to read, to be honest. I've fallen ridiculously behind my reading goals.
