Death of a Country-Fried Redneck is set completely in Bar Harbor Maine, although only the passing references to lobster fishermen has any real Maine flavor to it.

Just finished Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey, which is set almost entirely in Utah, particularly the red rock desert near Moab.
Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey went on my Goodreads list the day I set up the account. Crossed it off yesterday. I feel like I accomplished something.
The author is Karin Fossum. Apparently this is book #6 in the series, but this is the first one that I have come across.
I crossed this one off with Black Seconds. Not nearly as gruesome as the Dragon Tattoo series, but definitely Nordic and dark in feel.
I finally finished Beauty is a Verb, an anthology of disability poetry. Not an easy or quick read, but enlightening.
I read The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven. It was very nostalgic for me, since I went to law school in Spokane.
I was panicking about being behind on this challenge (it's the only personal goal thing I am actually working on these days). Tried to figure out what I had an hadn't read, which categories were crossed off. Found this and immediately thought, "Score! I have to have read at least one animal book this year already!"Anyone who knows me knows that I am a crazy cat lady (both my cats and I are crazy). So I will count The Cat Who Went to Paris by Peter Gethers.
I crossed this one off the list with Sherman Alexie's The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven.
