Granny D -- although this woman walked the highways of America -- in her 80s -- it was all on the roads, including dodging semis on the freeways in the desert

I completed this one with The Dark Lady, which is set on several planets and told from the point of view of an alien.

Just completed this with The Shadow of the Wind.

I'm comforted by the fact that the next one I will read with a woman on the cover also has a cat.

Two more books with women on the covers: Southampton Row and Mrs Jeffries Turns the Tide.

Crossed this one off the list with Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne

Another one -- even though the cat is small, it is there on the cover.
A Man Called Ove. Highly recommend this book.

And another one, I Married Adventure. Looks like I may read more of these than books with cats on the cover. It will be interesting to see.
