I devoured all James Herriot's books when they first came out - loved them!

Sigh...Donna, I fear you are correct. I am doomed to my bookish life!

Just started 'Unbroken' - am loving it already.

Note to self: you are getting out of control! You need to focus on nothing but the books you already own for awhile (with exceptions ONLY for book club selections). No more shopping at the Borders closing sale, picking up "just one or two" at those great Costco prices, being unable to resist those "special" Barnes & Noble online sales, browsing, and selecting random books at the library, downloading free Kindle books or library ebooks onto your laptop (for those "breaks" while you're working). You MUST be good, at least for a few months until you go to Portland (anyone been to Powell's Books? It's heaven!)

Some beautiful writing, but I couldn't get into the story.
I've spent a ridiculous amount of time reading lately because I've been sick a lot - I surely won't be able to keep up this pace!

Innocent Graves-Peter Robinson
Not bad, except I guessed who did it near the beginning of the book. I'd probably drop it to 2 1/2* because I didn't like the ending.

Dead Until Dark-Charlaine Harris
I had sworn off vampire novels, but wanted to see why Sookie Stackhouse was so popular. It was actually quite fun.

I think the only version I've seen was with Timothy Dalton as Mr. Rochester. He was probably too handsome for the role, but he did dark and brooding quite well!

There are several on your list I'd like to read! I read the Foreign Correspondent by Alan Furst and would like to read more by him, I've been wanting to try Ian Rankin, I just got A Reliable Wife at a library sale, and Persuasion is the only Jane Austen I haven't read!

I enjoyed perusing your list of books. Good luck with your 2011 reading!

Glad to see you loved your latest book. I wish I could make myself stop reading reviews for awhile because my TBR list keeps getting longer and longer (just added The Invisible Bridge)!

I second that! Great review!

I felt the same way. I heard a review on NPR and was excited to read it, but it didn't live up to my expectations.

Hindu mythology - the story of Raama and Seeta.

Oh, brother - just got to the Colonel Sanders part.

Worst book ever."I'm currently reading this for a group read (halfway through). While I'm not hating it, I doubt I'll read any more Murakami. I had a tough time with the Johnnie Walker scene.
