2051 #5-The Book of Tea-Kazuko Okakura
Wonderful little book about tea and eastern philosophy. (O.K, I admit this was also a Kindle freebie!)

2051 I am enjoying Hardy's 'Far From the Madding Crowd' and I loved 'Tess of the D'urbervilles'. It looks like I'll have to add 'The Mayor of Casterbridge' to my TBR list!

I haven't read any Stephen King in a long time, but this one intrigues me. I'll have to add it to my to-read list (which is LONG...!)

Was so excited to get my Kindle, I downloaded a few random free books. This was one of them, and I wish I hadn't bothered.

2051 #2-Gardens of Water: A Novel-Alan Drew
Powerful debut novel that deserves more attention. I found this ebook randomly on my library's website. It's about a Kurdish family in Turkey who have been displaced by civil war from their home village. They then have to survive the aftermath of a powerful earthquake (the one in 1999, I assume) with help from an American humanitarian organization. The author does a good job of letting you into the mind of a devout Muslim man.

2051 I made it to 61! Had never gotten beyond 50 before, so I'm happy. Congrats and Happy New Year to everyone. Guess I'll start a new thread under A-E with my 2011 books.

2051 #61-Journey to the Centre of the Earth-Jules Verne
That's it. 61 books for 2010! The most ever for me in a year! I plan to do at least 50 again next year.
Congrats to everyone on this thread.
