Too wacky for me-didn't find it very funny.

You should, Sherry! If nothing else, it will give you a great sense of accomplishment at finishing a book of that length!

#54-War and Peace-Leo Tolstoy
This took me 4 months (read several books in between), not because it wasn't interesting, but just because the length was intimidating. Tolstoy went on too long philosophizing in the epilogue, but overall a great book!

#53-The Human Stain-Philip Roth
Didn't find it easy to get through this one.

#52-The Cat who Came to Breakfast-Lilian Jackson Braun
Fun, light airplane read. Ending was a bit abrupt.

Some of the essays were interesting, others not so much. I've surpassed 50 books for the first time ever!

#50-The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie-Alan Bradley
Just average. It seemed to me the author was trying a little too hard for P.G. Wodehouse-like humor.
Made it to 50 books!!! Yay for me and congrats to everyone else who has reached the goal!

I loved Chocolat. Looks like you've read some great books this year. I'm going to add some of the titles to my already lengthy TBR list!

#48-The Hunger Games
Not a huge sci fi/adventure fan, but liked this better than I thought I would - will probably read the other two in the series.
I'm going to surpass 50 books this year for the first time - yay!

#47-Five Quarters of the Orange-Joanne Harris
Not my favorite Joanne Harris book, but I really like her writing.

#46-The Man in the Brown Suit-Agatha Christie
Another great whodunnit from Christie!
