2051 48. Once Bitten, Twice Shy (Jaz Parks, #1) by Jennifer Rardin Once Bitten, Twice Shy by Jennifer Rardin

I enjoyed this one. I read it all in less than a day. It was a nice quick read, that you didn't really want to put down. I found this one when looking at books at Barnes and Noble and read the back of book 2 and it said "CIA Agent, black belt, belly dancer." That made me laugh and want to look into it more and I'm glad I did.

2051 47. [image error] The Manning Brides by Debbie Macomber

Ok depending on how you count books, I may have just hit fifty. This book, the Manning Grooms (#11 on my list) and Married in Seattle (#25 on my list) all were books that contained two previously published books.

40. Back On Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber Back On Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber
41. Twenty Wishes (Blossom Street #4) by Debbie Macomber Twenty Wishes by Debbie Macomber

The Velvet Chair was strange, I have the next one in the series which I'll probably read, but I don't think I'd buy any more in the series (if there are more past the next one.)

2051 I know I'm way late, but Congrats on surpassing 50!

From the sound of things, if you weren't a big fan of the sex scenes in Dead Until Dark, you might not want to watch the show...just thought I'd give you a little warning in case you didn't know! I think the first book had the largest amount of sex scenes in it. Some (I don't think all) had that type of scene, but I'm pretty sure #1 had the most.

Oh and I'm really interested in reading your number 50. I hope to read it before the movie comes out!

2051 Another series I read similar to the Joanne Fluke books is the Chocoholic series by Joanna Carl. Not quite as good I think, but I still enjoy them.

2051 That's not a bad start. You'll notice a wide variety of readers on here, some that are on book 100 or something like that and some that are about where you are. Some people even set different goals for the year. Just try and read a number you'll be happy with.

I will probably do the same thing as you and keep clicking on your list instead of mine. We should be glad there aren't a lot more Donnas. ;-)

2051 Jessica wrote: "I'm in the middle of the Twilight series at the moment...is it as addicting the second time through?"

Absolutely as addicting as the first time through. Plus you catch a few things here and there that you missed or just didn't pick up on the first time. I read the entire series twice between Nov. 13 and Christmas and then started the audio books. (I work at a movie theatre and we were getting SO MANY calls for Twilight I basically said what's the big deal and went out and bought the book to see. Yeah, got completely addicted and finished the book while answering phone calls Nov. 20 when everyone was asking about the midnight show.)

2051 I hope the re-read of Twilight doesn't put you in a slump again! But at least you still have 9 more months to read those last 24 if it does! (I keep thinking its about time for a re-read also, but my mom has my copy of the entire saga)

2051 13. Cream Puff Murder by Joanne Fluke by Joanne Fluke

Another good Hannah Swensen book, although I'm really hoping she chooses Norman after this book.

2051 I completely agree with Faye on the Thursday Next series. They're really interesting. Fforde also wrote a couple of books in the about crimes involving nursery rhyme characters. (The Big Over Easy, and the Fourth Bear).
