Missing RemnantsHeadquarters buzzed with the voices of my colleagues. I heard a dirge rather than distinct voices in what, that day, struck me as an uncomfortable, dingy, oppressive place of work. An image flashed into my mind. The picture of two smiling men on a mountainside and the last time I had spent any time off the space station with my husband Jarner.
I think I needed to do it anyway. I used the D2D mobi download for KDP, so I had to go through it to get the new website included in the back. I think. Last week I asked Facebook to rename my Amy J Hamilton page to DJ Cooper-Author. I asked them twice and they refused twice saying that I'd cause confusion to people. I argued that it would be more misleading for people who already know me to get another request to like a second page and that I was still an author but using my own name. I created another page. Last night they emailed me to say that they'd changed the name on the original one. Now I have two DJ Cooper pages. That's after they refused twice and after I appealed twice.
I've since found out from a colleague that I can merge the two pages but I'd need a clear head to do it. That's not happening today, that's for sure.
I have had four more Amazon pre-orders since I sent my newsletter out yesterday. That's not bad considering Mailchimp advised me that 85% didn't open the email and I should send it again. I'm undecided. I don't want to spam people.
I am so very tired I've just edited my book on D2D when I didn't need to. All I needed to do was edit my profile to update my website. Ugh. I've got to wait now until everything copies over again. I hope that doesn't mess anything up. It shouldn't do. Just-ugh.
Zombies aren't picky about the body parts they eat. Plenty of zombie books around. Love a zombie book. Eating hearts is not that 'out there'. I may even have eaten one myself (not human and as I said, not my favourite meat!)
I'd write it then see what needs cutting at the end. But really it's up to you. If there are bits you aren't happy writing, rework them now.
I'm 46, feel about 700. The thing is, EVERYTHING has been done before. I wouldn't let that stop you. I like the idea of the underground business. I like the idea of eating hearts-not my favourite meat! Yes there are a lot of searching out identities and trying to find a place in the world stories. So? There are a lot of every other story out there too. It's the way you write it that will set it apart from everyone else.
OK thanks. I think I've sorted it. I think I prefer the idea of a static home page. I think it's basically there. It needs a bit of tidying. But I need copious amounts of coffee.

I have a basic WordPress question. The template came with a blog page. When I add a new post that goes onto the home page. Do I need a separate Blog menu item? It's empty despite me posting a few words.
The current one is one Alexis did for me for Twitter. IT FITS yay. Thank you Alexis.I've got two home pages... why?
Gosh.I'm working on http://djsworld.co.uk
Nothing on it yet. That's just the default setup with my domain name. Just gosh!
Yours is better that this:http://barkingmaddj.blogspot.co.uk/
I created a better website than my blogspot a decade ago for my other business.
I think for the sake of ease I'm inclined to stay where I am and pay this £115 a year and add a WordPress website to it.
If anyone has any advice on that, I'd be grateful.
Alex, I always thought your WordPress was very good.Yes, Carole I was thinking of putting Medium content onto the blog just to keep it updated. I'm not a fan of my current blogger effort.
I've just phoned 1&1. In my current £8.99 a month package I am entitled to a WordPress website (and others I've never heard of.)
So I suppose that's my easiest option. Keep that and use their WordPress option. He mentioned about upgrading my plus package to pro which instead of being £9.99 would be £6.99 (and after 12 months would no doubt cost me £9.99)
I'm on 1&1.co.uk and it's £8.99 a month plus VAT. I've had it for years. I suspect it does more than I know how to use.
