Sounds like a decent article. We should all hope to improve with each book. A first draft is a first draft after all.

Oh that's OK then. I'm good enough to win anyone's 'What the hell was that?' award. I've bookmarked them for when I feel brave.

That's great, thank you Ted. I'll take a look. I've always been someone who knew how well I was doing by the certificates I earnt. Of course if these competitions are based on the number of people who read and then vote for your book, I don't stand much of a chance. I'll have to look to see.

I just saw it as another possible avenue to be visible. But not at a price.I have to admit, I'd rather have a writing award than a cover award. Right now I have nothing. So something would have been a start. Or even the chance of winning something.
If I had a writing award I could call myself an award winning author and it would bolster my confidence. I also don't have any awards for my day job whereas there are people in the business with less experience than me who win year after year because they have bigger businesses.
I put the KindleScout2018 keyword into Missing Remnants when I published it, then found out it isn't eligible because I'm not exclusive to Amazon and never will be. That's just my personal choice. I don't stand a chance with page reads all the time book stuffers exist shoving 1000 extra pages on the end of their 200 page book to earn more of the pot. This morning I realised the keyword was the reason Amazon kept emailing me about not being eligible. I've replaced the keyword with Space Station because I'm not very good with keywords lol.
Why thank you very much, I'll have another one for you to buy very soon. Well, within six months I hope.I've actually started reading about six books this year. I've finished none of them, not because I couldn't get on with them, purely because I haven't yet justified the time to read them. I'll get there. Oh I lie, I finished your fourth. There. I finished one. Yay.
I buy all your books. The theory is one day I'll get around to reviewing them on Amazon and we know how tricky that process can be. I don't think I have read that one, have I? Isn't that the sequel to book 1 WHICH I HAVE STARTED NOW (Insert Fanfare Here)

Hmmm. Somehow the website All Author got hold of my details and said I could enter their cover competition. OK great. I signed up. Then I find it appears you need an author profile rather than a basic reader profile. OK fair enough. However, on balance it seems I need to pay money for an author profile in order to use their free cover competition. If I've got that wrong, let me know. I've paid out for quite enough author things this month!

I have ordered Poetic Justice using my brand new Kindle Voyage. I hope to get some reading done this summer.

Oooh there were title options. I missed that. I like 1 or 4.50k is still longer than Missing Remnants. I like short books. I have the attention span of gnat. (Do they have short attention spans?) My latest book may just scrape into the novel category. If not, it'll be a novella.
Excellent, let me know when I can get it at the Kindle store. And don’t wear out Stone too much, he sounds out of breath.

Clapped Sam. Very true.Oh no, she's written another one we all have to clap.

Right now I'm just keeping my head above water. And yawning. I do a lot of yawning. I am relieved for every time our daughter comes in and says the exam of the day went OK.Shout out to everyone in the middle of exam trauma.

I need something else to happen to me now. I'm running out of ideas. I just hope it's a positive thing that happens.

I hope that will also sell a copy.
Nice one, Eldon!
Carole’s review takes me up to three so far. Thank you Carole. That’s almost the most I’ve ever had! I sold a book on Kobo the other night to someone who must have been desperate or clicked buttons by mistake. That one was a direct result from the Twitter promo I’m running with Books and the Bear. I’m getting clicks on my AMS adverts but no sales.
