I can’t use ENT because they didn’t want my Sci-Fi. I don’t get it. I was offering them money and my book isn’t rubbish. I think you need a certain ranking or number of books out or a certain number of reviews. Whatever their criteria I don’t qualify.
I think you’re right. And it’s wise to just get on with it as soon as you can. If you drop off an NHS list like I did this summer and autumn you can end up in a worse state than you started.
Welcome to my world Kimberley. Although you’re ahead of me. I do not have a publisher and I have never won anything. I sell very few books. I have limited funds for marketing. I only shift books if they are virtually free therefore meaning I’m out of pocket on the promotion and have no chance of earning the money back. I simply do not earn enough in my day job to throw money away like that.
I hope it goes ok for you on Christmas Eve. What an odd time to schedule an op.
And an ultrasound lol. 27th December to establish that I do indeed have internal organs. Roll eyes here.

I’m just experimenting with KDP again. I’ve never had no page reads before. I will be opting out when it expires. My Amazon ads have done nothing. Paid for promotion might get me a few sales but under half the amount the promotion costs. I shrug with disdain at the self publishing world right now.
That’s very productive. I’m mostly frustrated. I think I just need a break.
Yeah what did you do to your back? Did you sleep on it awkwardly? Excellent news about D2D’s POD. About time that happened.
It was a very sensible response. But I do like the idea of setting fire to something and walking away. I am going to well and truly flame that pudding on Christmas Day!
I really thought you were going to say to put all the stuff in a pile in the middle of the desk and set fire to it. I am mostly done. I have solved an insurance issue, sorted stock, fed humans, fuelled car, sorted shopping. There is one thing I cannot fix and I have an irritating work around for. My husband is now looking into it. I spent 2 hours getting nowhere today and that was after spending a similar amount of time a couple of weeks ago. It’s an IT thing. If it’s fixable he’ll manage it.
And the house is a tip. No change there.

OverwhelmedOverwhelmedOverwhelmed. I am doing too many things. Not getting enough sleep. Too much going on. For someone who likes routine and consistency I've been self-employed for almost eighteen years and it's doing my head in. I don't know what to expect from one day to the next. Need. A Break.
