I was getting about $20 on some months before they changed the way they pay. Since then I’m destined to fall short of making my annual subscription back.

You’re doing much better than me. I ought to look into submitting to publications but I find the whole thing intimidating. I’m also not sure I can write what they’d take.
It’s not just me then. Maybe there’s more income from fiction on there. Anything I post is being listed as warning about 3c where it would normally be $2.
I am literally being paid about $1.20 a month and it doesn’t matter how much I post. I know I’m not posting the right things in the right places. I’m beginning to wonder if it’s worth the effort spending hours agonising over whether anything I’ve written could upset someone, have I used the correct words, is someone going to come in and say I’m thinking the wrong thing and don’t get me started on what I put myself through trying to find pictures. I’ve just got beyond thinking that people would be angry with me for using their pictures that are free to use.

People aren’t all bad. There are a lot of idiots in the world but I do think the good ones out number the wankers of the world! :-)
I hope your associate is OK Carole. And Alex, good news on your mum’s friend’s husband. Let’s flip the numbers. I think it’s about 97% of Coronavirus patients recover. One of our MPs had it and passed it to her mum. Her mum had a milder case of the virus than she did.
