Are Indie KDP authors allowed to sell paperbacks to ordinary bookshops?

KDP authors are not allowed to diversify to other ebook sellers but I can't see anything to stop us selling to bookshops.

Does anyone have any experience of this, please?

Does anybody know how an author can find out which passages of their books have been highlighted on Kindle? And how many times?

Oh yes, the cover leads you in...

BookBub is great if it picks your book for a featured deal. It used to be more accessible for Indies but now I see the list littered with top authors and, of course, BookBub being a business rather than a charity for Indies goes for the big names mostly. Don't despair, you might get past the gatekeepers one day.

As for BookBub ads, well they don't cost much usually but I don't see many sales through them. I do an ad when nothing much is happening so that it is easier to see if KU reads or the odd sale might come from them. I still use them though - visibility is important.

Thank you once again!! I was looking at your school for super heroes Grady Whill and the Templeton Codex this morning and thinking what a great idea and plot.

I opened my emails at the beginning of October and got a shock. One of my oldest books had won a prize and I began to look at the dear old thing with new eyes – the eyes of the Readers’ Favorite reviewer, who is now one of my favourite people!

“One Dark Night by Anna Faversham is a very good book offering romance, danger, adventure, mystery, excitement and so much more and I found it was very hard to put down. I really was rooting for Lucy to end up with a good life for all the grief she had endured and was hoping she would pick the man I liked best. I also hoped that all the bad people would get what they deserved. Anna Faversham did a perfect job of combining all the elements into one winning story and I highly recommend One Dark Night be added to your reading list.”
