Immortality

Today, 28th April, my one and only contemporary speculative fiction novel goes on a KCD outing which is rather good for it as it sells more!

Immortality This Is Probably a Novel by Anna Faversham Immortality: This Is Probably a Novel

Immortality: This is Probably a Novel has been placed by the mighty Amazon into the International Mystery and Crime genre – and they are right. Of course.

Here’s an excerpt which follows some very strange occurrences:

What would happen next? The idea that no more unnatural events would occur seemed unlikely. Should he just sit and wait? Wait for the knock on the door?

Why him? Were the Russians involved? Had he been given hallucinatory drugs? The sort of things the Russians would do. No. This was something different. What was it about him that brought these visitors from other planets to his door? What was the power that made his surfboard sink this afternoon? What power could transport him to another planet and return him the same night? And who were these men who materialized on the cabin doorstep? They appeared to be under the control of an outside authority. And the alien beings on the planets who or what were they? Robots? So who programmed them? They didn’t look like robots so what were they really? Aliens?

These were only some of the questions that swamped his mind. What were the answers? He laughed at himself for even thinking of the Russians. Aliens was downright daft too.

And here’s what some reviewers have said:

“To say that this book is poignant is an understatement.”

“A beautifully written, imaginative, supernatural and definitely unique story!”

“A heart warming story…”

“I thoroughly enjoyed reading this … twice.”

“This is a book you’ll find totally absorbing. Start it early in the day because you’ll probably end up losing a lot of sleep with it by your side.”

And one reviewer said she/he had to wait a long time to understand the meaning of the sub-title.

(My thanks to those who have left reviews on Goodreads or Amazon.)

0.99 in US and UK from 28th April through until 4th May. FREE on Kindle Unlimited.

And how am I getting on with the latest book? Slowly. There’s just so much other life to get on with too. I’ve no idea how these fantastic authors churn out as many as four books a year. I’d be pleased to produce one. But on I plod and I'm loving it.

Years ago, I was given one of Dale Carnegie’s tiny books which sets out all sorts of wisdom in very few words. I pass some of his sayings on to you:

Prevent Fatigue and Worry and Keep Your Energy and Spirits High

Rest before you get tired. Learn to relax at your work. Do things in the order of their importance. Etc., etc., etc!

And there are other related sections with many bullet points. And then I came across this one:

The Perfect Way to Conquer Worry

1. Pray

Yes, that’s all.

And that’s all from me!

I wish you a wonderful May.
