201765 Some of us pop in and then disappear for weeks on end - maybe doing writing! Or just busy with life in general. What is so nice is that nobody minds and nobody ignores you when you do make it back to the Navi family.

Welcome, Simi.

201765 Yes, title larger on the spine is an excellent observation.

201765 I love the title - that has my interest immediately. Then the "I start with zero. Nobody dies today" is a huge hook. This nasty piece of works has a plan, he's obsessed, he's likely to be successful.

Ah but the cover. The spiral alludes to Fibonacci - so that's good. The colours work well. I'm not sure about the guy with the gun. Too obvious? Anyway, I'm not sure. It's not a no-no. Just a maybe. Possibly okay.

201765 What a gal! Goodness what energy! And such good responses to the questions.

Thanks for sharing the info.

201765 All the best for this expansion, Ted. There may come a time when I need to do this too.

201765 Excellent - some good stuff here.

As for me... computer is playing up, personalized Google has disappeared. It was there, two hours later it wasn't.

I'm hoping to post some good news soooooooooooon.

201765 You have me laughing when I should be crying.

On a serious note, I really, really - nope, I'd better shut up.

201765 Huge learning curve, this publishing thing. And I do it all myself!!! Can't work my iPhone very well though... hangs head in shame therefore my children think I am a numpty.
201765 If you have some of your books as audio books this might be useful:

I was sent an email from Awesome Gang who have decided to diversify into audiobook ads. "...Go check out Awesomeaudiobook.com and submit your audiobook. Use coupon code AWESOMEGANG and that makes it free to submit! Not much in life is free but this is. "

I see that Awesome Gang are part of PrettyHot.com. If these newsletter ad sites keep splitting up, I think they make it more difficult for authors to have a large readership of the newsletters, yet we are still asked to pay more all the time.

Anyway, this one is free.

Other newsletters just include audiobooks.

201765 Not sure if this is the best thread for this news:

In my newspaper today was an article about novels going out of fashion. In the new year year the paper tends to look at trends and it stated that TV box sets, for instance, were taking over and especially those that could match the intellectual satisfaction of novels.

No wonder we are all thinking that our sales are a bit down.

201765 HAPPY NEW YEAR - sorry about the shouting, I thought you might need waking up.

I hope you all will have a healthy new year too and if you're feeling a bit under the weather my suggestion is that you cosy up on the sofa with some hot chocolate and a good book. Sometimes you need to be good to yourself as well as the others.

I also hope you manage to keep to any ny resolutions for more than a week :o)

And I hope that all our writers are inspired and raring to go.

Please don't kick me!

Oh my heart goes out to you. I know the feeling. I've given up something I've really enjoyed doing but which required more time than I can give if I want to write, live and stay sane. Is there something you can give up?

As for the pile - that works. I put a note in my diary, just here and there, to spend a quarter of an hour on 'the pile' and I have a note under my screen which says 'Do one thing from the tray' and if I'm good and do one thing, I can turn it over and there's a pretty picture instead of the demanding notice. Sometimes it works!

201765 Hope you're home safe and sound by now, Alex.

And DJ I hope you are too.

201765 So sorry to hear you're not well, Alexis, I hope you get better soon and I hope you are having lots of fluids even if you can't eat.

201765 Tonight's TV was abysmal, Alex. Hope you get to see some good stuff tomorrow. I'll be overrun with family but I'll check back in here asap.

201765 Just popping in quickly to wish you all a very happy Christmas (or days off, at least) and wishing you all lots of fun and good stretches of peace and quiet too. And food, special food, and chocolates, and boxes of chocolates and chocolates.

A happy and healthy new year to you and yours. And I do wish you all success - more than you've ever had - in the coming year too.

Oh, and time - lots of time to write.

201765 Dead bodies float in the sea (gas inside) and have to be weighted down to keep them down. In an industrial sized vat perhaps they could be rammed to the bottom and it might be more difficult for them to float to the very top and be seen. If you don't want the body to be seen, you could make the pickle very thick.

I do hope you want this for a novel...

Sorry, I've just been watching a murder mystery on TV! And like Theodore, I couldn't be sure about this!
Dec 15, 2018 02:00AM

201765 Thanks, Alex, and I know this isn't the holiday wishes thread but I do sincerely wish everyone in this group a wonderful time over the Christmas season whether you celebrate or not and oh how I wish you all an enjoyable year ahead tapping away or throwing it all up in the air - enjoy! And may something good happen to you on a regular basis. And keep passing around the good stuff, there'll be those of us reading it even if we don't get to reply!

201765 Ditto, I'm afraid, sorry.
