From what you say, D.J., it doesn't sound like Alzheimers, more like a neurological problem, so don't go worrying about the dreaded A., please.
Hope it's something that can be treated easily. There's a treatment for most things these days.

So pleased to hear your news, Alex. What a relief!
And Angel - that is a terrific compliment!

'Howard County' has a nice ring/sound.

Yes, I think the 'Howard County' bit should definitely be bigger.

Oh Sam, try not to be scared. Stress exacerbates pain because you tense up. Hope you will be warm and hugged!

Temporary can be good - refreshes the brain.

Ah... as I drove up through Hampshire, there was little, but in Sussex and Surrey and Kent, it was really pretty, enough to be pleased without slushing up the roads. My bit of Kent looked nice, I think it's Debz who's missed out. Her turn might come tonight - yours too, Alex.

Just driven back from the Isle of Wight where it was sunny and bright and the ferry trip was smooth. On the mainland I realized why everyone was talking about snow. There was snow all around, not deep; it was the nice, pretty sort! The sun had melted a fair bit but we still found snow in our garden on arrival home. So, D.J., I'm not sure why your patch of Kent missed out! Maybe tonight...

So good to hear what you are doing!

One day at a time, Alex. Tomorrow should find you a little improved and every day after that - and just maybe there'll be some good news just around the corner.

Alex, I am oh so sorry to hear your trouble. I hate it when something looms up to smother a dream. Hang on to your dream, even if it means doing it for love, keep going and maybe things will turn full circle and Indies will be seen to be useful and a source of talent again.

Get well soon, and enjoy resting.

I love Hugh Howey's statistics - I hope he does an up-to-date version. I've seen the 2016 one where he talks about the tide turning from ebooks elbowing out the print ones. I'd like to know what's happening now.
Thanks Ted and all.

Sorry, Alex, I just had to laugh at your duplicated text! It's a bit like squirreling away a bit of good news for a later date which finally came yesterday when you got two lots of good news.

I grew up between cabbage farms and the sea. I always knew which way the wind was blowing.

I think I could get very fat on my spam.
Alex wrote: "Congrats to everyone. Darn goodreads didn't keep me up to date with notifications, so I've only just seen most of these messages.
Hopefully I'll see everyone's good news as it's posted from now on."And I've just found this post of yours in my Spam box!

Cor... I didn't know you could alter the 'Look Inside' feature. Thanks Ted.
