So how about the HBO series? I thought it was amazing!

If you know who Batwoman is, I would say no. I think there are (I think) 3 or 4 references to the Batwoman show so far in Crisis.

I did not realize Black Lightning was having its midseason finale tonight. With a title like Earth Crisis I wonder if/how they will integrate the Crisis into their existing storyline.

And now American Gods Vol 1

Titans' Season 2 finishes on Friday. I understand it's been renewed for Season 3, with some on reddit suggesting it will be on HBOMax. DCUniverse being stripped of content but for comics.

Deadpool. Love reading/seeing him in movies, but I think he'd be hard to take IRL.
Holly wrote: "Weird. I was kind of hoping the post-apocalyptic-style future would be reset with the crisis. I was also finally hoping to get a comic-style Canary I liked."Did you see this week's episode?

Good mix of Crisis and Halloween this week - complete with a
(view spoiler)[necromantic vampire (hide spoiler)].

A bit of Orwell and Huxley in this week's episode. I understand that while Black Lightning will be in the crossover, the crossover will not make it into the BL show. Makes sense, because the two seem very incongruous together.

I knew that the Japanese internment had happened and could describe it in very broad strokes, but that does not does not begin to do the event justice. So like others here, it was a learning experience for me to read this book. I think I was most impressed by George's father - how he could acknowledge FDR's work to alleviate the Great Depression but yet incarcerate Japanese Americans. But yet he could not bear to meet Eleanor Roosevelt face to face.
The courage his parents had to deal with this adversity continues to amaze me, and even more so how they shielded their children from the worst of it and were not radicalized themselves.
Yay that Brad got into the book!
As notes toward the end, fear and hate are rearing their ugly heads again, ready to repeat the injustices detailed in the book. I can only hope our better nature will overcome, but fear it will not.
For some reason I recall an NPR report on
food in the Japanese internment, specifically weenie royale. There are also related articles/pictures at the link provided.
Edited to add: I also liked the way he (to me) showed the importance of Star Trek. Where non-white characters could be something other than servants and villains. And of course, the fencing scene was included.

Yes, they are related and he even touches on the creation and Broadway run ..."Thanks Adam. Now that I was finally able to read it, I noted the inclusion of the play in the memoir.

The newest Asterix adventure features a female heroine for the first time.
Edit: removed broken link.

Gotta say, Black Lightning has the best villains in the Arrowverse this season.

And what an episode it was. DC apparently decided to double down after fans were dragging Iain Glen's casting as Bruce Wayne. Some fun moment for him, including
(view spoiler)[an easter egg for Batman '66 - The Batusi. (hide spoiler)]With such a large cast, it's difficult to give everyone screen time.
(view spoiler)[Raven and Beast Boy (hide spoiler)] had cameos though at least
(view spoiler)[Raven had something specific to her powers to accomplish, Beast Boy essentially answered the door (hide spoiler)]. I can't help but think a culling will happen and while I would had to see characters go, I think it would give the series a much needed focus. Fingers crossed.

As the topic states... Drops of God will be getting a new
complete digital edition available exclusively via Comixology/Amazon.

Apparently Arrow will be replaced with Green Arrow and the Canaries (the 2040 plotline) when the new year rolls around.

They apparently ran a poll (much like they did in the comic..."Re:
(view spoiler)[Krypto (hide spoiler)] I was wondering if I was missing something but apparently I did not.
I know fans have been asking for
(view spoiler)[Red Hood (hide spoiler)] but I would think the series would want to leave him as

As for

(view spoiler)[Dick Grayson (hide spoiler)] from the first season.
(view spoiler)[Fuck Batman! I personally could do without anything Batman related for a good long while since I feel like you can't turn around without Batman this or Batman that in your face (hide spoiler)],
Stoked for tomorrow's episode.

I liked the season premiere a lot. Some surprises, and some character interactions I wish had happened in previous seasons. I am interested to see how the groundwork will be laid for the Crisis in all four shows.
