189072 Haha what does your grandmother's house look like that it reminds you of the commander's house? That's kind of funny

And april... enjoy the trash too ;) it's a love hate relationship.

Welcome, Christina! always wanted to go hiking in the Appalachian mtns...much larger than the White Mtns in NH. any good places you know of?

Hello, Maria! Welcome to the group! Hopefully we can find some modern stuff as well as classics that you're interested in!

and Maeve - SAME. It was a game to see how much I could BS my way through English class without actually reading anything... surprisingly valuable skill out in the real world ;)

189072 Great review, Celeste!

I was torn I couldn't decide who should get pity and who shouldn't. I kind of don't like either the Creature or Victor - neither really took responsibility for their actions, both blamed other things/people/society. Seems like copping out.

189072 Welcome, Heidi! Glad you could join us. And love the BA in English... studied engineering in college, so more than a little rusty analyzing books. Would love your opinion on Classics we should try!
Suggestion Box (485 new)
Sep 15, 2016 05:38AM

189072 Hi Marilyn,

Thanks for the suggestion! I totally agree, picking 7 books made the voting a little dispersed. Goal for next month will likely be 4 books. In terms of choosing books from the list of suggestions, I'll likely rank books by those who received second's and then by read count on GR. Let me know if you have any other ideas!

Best,
Kasey
