Also, my one month free trial where I was reading it on expired so I have to re-figure out how to get the book.
Have you been reading it Erin?

I understand the struggle of keeping a journal/notebook!
I kept one (it's more like a scrapbook - mostly just keepsakes of events I went to and anecdotes of things I did) since middle school and I stopped around four years ago. It used to be a constant worry that I was a falling behind on the journal and that when I finally got to it I would have to catch up on quite a lot, etc etc etc. I actually miss it though! I hope to pick it up again this year.
So yeah, my worry is that it becomes more trouble than it's worth or something that stresses you out instead of help?
It does sound nice though! Out of curiosity I pulled one up on Amazon and saw some samples of those pages where you can put your thoughts and reviews. Pretty neat :)
If you do want to compile quotes in a notebook or in another aesthtically pleasing way maybe you can jot them down for now on your phone (something you *do* probably carry around) and then one day make a cute notebook for yourself with the quotes. Maybe even something you can make online on a website like Shutterfly if you don't want to go all arts and crafts. Just some ideas :)
Anywho, I'm glad I was able to help haha sorry for getting all excited about arts & crafts and notebooks. I like that stuff :)

Hmmm....I've never seen a reading journal myself. Is it just to track what you are reading? If so, maybe you already get that functionality on Goodreads?
If there is more to reading journals than what I'm thinking, then maybe they are useful depending on what your personally think to do with them? Like if you are a Lit student and need to keep track of certain books or an aspiring author and want to keep track of ideas and sentences in books you come across. Apart from that I'm not sure what you would do with one :)
Before Goodreads I had an Excel spreadsheet with the books I've read. Then again that's my nerdy accountant side. I didn't keep notes or anything. It was a simple list. Now I find GR great for keeping track of what I'm reading. The only other thing I can think of a reading journal being good for is if you are a pen and paper type of person and prefer that to using online tools. It might also be nice to start off a young kid who is getting into reading :)

I'm okay with Pictures of You.
I'm going to start looking for it now but if you both have it go ahead and start :)
Edit: Actually, I just got it on Amazon Unlimited so I'm good to go :)

My top pick is To Have and to Kill. I can get the audiobook for it through one of my library's free digital media services.

I don't mind passing the pick over to Kristy for this round. Let us know Kristy :)

Lately I haven't had much time to read myself. I've mostly been living off audio books.
It was fun when we were doing our buddy read group :) Kristy and I actually continued doing 1 on 1 buddy reads for a few months using the same taking turns system. It was great!
Any who, I would love to hear from the other two girls as well. I don't have much time but if you guys were starting up the group again I would try to keep it going.

Only listening to an audiobook at the moment but I got quite a few books from the library last Thursday.

No worries Dano, it happens :)))

And okayyy, see you guys in May then :)

I hope you've been doing well :)
Dano hasn't recommended an April book yet and it seems you all have stuff going on in your lives. It's totally okay, it happens :)
Just wanted to make sure we're officially going on hiatus? That's totally fine with me if that is so.
We can pick up our club again in a few months or something.

Meanwhile, do you want to propose your book selections for April Dano? Let us know!

AND I HAVE TO SAY CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BABY!!!! That's so exciting :)))))) I wish you and your baby girl every happiness :)
I totally understand how hectic work and life can get, no worries :)
