I just read the part where Michael Gold visits Chris on the day of Emily's funeral. I want to slap Chris!!!!!!!!! JUST SAY WHAT HAPPENED!!!!!!!!!

I got to the flashback with the Harte's dog. All the way to the end. It speaks volumes and volumes about the dynamic between Gus Harte and Michael Gold (yessss the names are so confusing even the dog's name Charlie I got confused with Chris ugggh).

Since the beginning the moms and dads were hoping their children would get married but maybe either Chris or Emily were gay and that pressure drove them to the suicide? I'm really curious you guys!

Yeah! Emily! Not Sofia! I knew it was a short, popular name.

How come Gus spent eons and eons reading classics to decide on a name for Christopher and then decided on such a common name like Christopher? LOL

I'm surprised how time has flown and how behind I am on this book!! Only three more official days in the month to finish and I'm on disk 2 of 15. I brought some with me to my work desk so I can get through the story faster.

Right now I'm pulling out my hair because I want to know soooo badly why they did it! Why they entered that pact. And it's just going on about the possibility of a homicide and picking out Em's dress. I have to read moreee.

So I finished the first disk of 15 (with 20 tracks) (I don't have a physical book so I can't tell, this book is really big right?) and they revealed that The Pact seemed to have been a suicide pact. I think that all of you are past me so I hope this is not a spoiler. Really curious to know the reasoning behind Chris' and Sofia? (still learning their names) decision and how is this a "love story" as the title says. Veery curious. It's really sad to think they both wanted to end their lives and that the girl succeeded leaving a very sad young man behind...

I can tell the story is going to revolve around the parents a lot. It's interesting to note there was hints that Mrs. Gold liked Mr. Heart and Mr. Gold liked Mrs. Heart. Could that be part of why the kids committed suicide?

Well Happy Thanksgiving to Kristy! And to all three of you just wanted to say I'm really thankful to be in this book club with you guys!

Ah, I don't really mind the switching POVs. I just want to understand what happened between the two young people that ended up with one of them......

I haven't gotten very far but I did read the part where one of the dads saw their child in the very quiet hospital cubicle. It was really sad.

I might have to listen to a few of the disks at home (and not in the car) so I can catch up with you guys :)

I started it!

I was intrigued by the beginning. The author gave us a quick scene of the young couple and then switched to the POV of the four parents. I really want to know what happened to the young couple. I stopped in the part where their parents get phone calls in the middle of the night.

Yeah! That would be nice :) Christmas themed! I don't think I've ever really read an X-mas book but it makes me smile to think about reading one around the holiday season.

I've never read Jodi Picoult and I know she's one of your favorite authors so it'll be fun to read one of her books for the first time.
