Just based on the book's summary here in goodresds apparently Shelley was making a commentary on the dangers of science as well.

I love the nicknames! Franky & George lolololol and one night stand! You guys crack me up.
I haven't read the book but if Franky created George and suddenly he's disappointed in George isn't that kind of him saying he's disappointed in himself? Since this story is about creating life it'd be really interesting to compare it to religious and mythlogical stories of gods creating men and later punishing them or looking down on them.

I can't wait to start listening to it so I can properly join the discussion :)
Oh! That Razor land series, I've heard about it before. I'm so glad that audiobooks have been helping you pass the time during those tedious tasks!

Ah! That sounds interesting Erin! I reminds me of the term unreliable narrator which I think can sometimes make for very good stories because it leaves room for unexpected twists.
I still haven't picked it up from my library (Frankenstein) but as soon as I do I will let you know!
I've been listening to an audiobook version of a historical romance (1850s England). It's book #3 of the series, The Hathaways. Each book tells the story of one of the siblings, It's funny cause I accidentally read the last one book #5 a year ago and didn't like it at all because I didn't understand half of it. I decided to pick the series back up for whatever reason. I skipped book #1 and jumped in #2 which I liked. I was eager to read #4 but decided not to skip #3 (since I had already read enough of them out of order). I didn't think #3 was going to be all that great but it really has surprised me! The hero in the story is kind of the villian and it's interesting to read such a evil hero. The heroine was in love with this guy and the hero made it impossible for them to be together and kind coerced her into marrying him. She found out what he did the day of their wedding day and she thinks he's just the worst. It's pretty interesting!

I'm glad you finished it :) It's cute how everyone ends up at the coffee shop at the end right? Seeing the characters from story #2 in the POV of the girl from story #3 was interesting. They are cute but they are quirky and random ALL THE TIME. It must be confusing to hang out around them lol
Erin! I just realized, whenever you have a chance you should add Dano to the group name!

Story #1 was my absolute favorite out of the three! I loved Jubilee and Stuart.
I think in the other stories you'll get a better understanding of how Stuart knew Jeb. Not any specific reason. They all just go to school together.
But good questions regarding Stuart and Jubilee's future together! I didn't really wonder....how far from each other do they live?
My library is holding Frankenstein for me. I have to pick it up. I've never read Dracula. How is the format unique?

And omg Dano that sounds great!
I just spent the afternoon with my family. I had my parents and in-laws over. I tried to learn how to make one of my mom's signature dishes for the first time. It was fun :)
Kind of glad the holidays are over though. It was the busiest holiday season I ever had. I'm not even exaggerating!

Happy New Year! I think Erin and Dano probably already celebrated it :)
Here's to many more good reads in 2017!!!

I'm glad to hear your semester ended well!
Frankenstein is good with me too :) My library probably has an audiobook version available ;-) I'm excited to read another classic. I haven't read one in a while.

Yay! I hope you enjoy Let It Snow in your chilly weather. I think you're going to relate quite a lot to the weather in the book :)
Yeah Dano, books at work = awesome!

Here it's between 22 to 28 degrees Celsius (71 to 82 degrees Celsius). It's hot but comfortable.
Kristy that's so cold I can't even imagine! I've never seen snow or been in anything colder than like high 50 low 60 F.
I'm staring to get worried about Erin :/ I hope she shows up soon.

Don't worry! You still have plenty of time. I was just on a roll from The Pact and got a head start on Let It Snow. I actually finished it this morning.
I really didn't like the girl in the 3rd story. I liked her much less when she ends up calling Charlie for a ride. Then shortly after she feels a "revelation" that is supposed to make up for her rotten behavior throughout the rest of the story but it doesn't. It was a weak conclusion to the story and the reunion was ok, a bit weak as the conclusion to the book.
I must say that reading about Starbucks so much in story #3 compelled me to go out at 9:30 PM to get Starbucks hot chocolate with a gift card I received at work last week lol It was so random and entirely the book's fault!

She's such an ungrateful little....I can't stand continuing to read a romance story with her in the center of it.
She's incredibly annoying (car wash scene) but she became infinitely worse during the 6-month anniversary scene when she didn't appreciate her boyfriend's gift because it wasn't expensive enough. That makes me want to cry in indignation. Maybe it hits too close to home because I didn't grow up well off but I can't stand reading about such a pretentious princess taking advantage of her sweet boyfriend.
Edit:
Ugh I finished Chapter 1. That girl does not deserve any forgiveness.

I definitely liked the romance in story #1 more. I like the idea of the adventure they went on in story #2 but it dragged on for bit there. I think that childhood friend love stories can sometimes be the must frustrating!
I loved the twins and JP. They were hilarious!
Looking forward to story #3 with the Native American guy.

I loved the driving up the hill scene.

I need to do some variance analysis here at work (boooriinngg) but it's so hard to concentrate! I just want to keep reading!!!
HELP! lol
