185 Possibly: The Wolf Princess

"Sophie dreams of a life that is richer and more interesting than her poor existence in a London boarding school. Orphaned and abandoned by her guardian, she clings to stories that her loving father told her about a winter forest, wolves, and a mysterious woman. When she has a chance to visit Russia on a field trip, Sophie is thrilled. But once they're there, Sophie and her friends are abandoned in the woods, then whisked away on a mysterious white train to a crumbling Winter Palace, where Princess Volkonskaya takes a curious interest in Sophie. "
185 No, Wolf by Wolf has a TOTALLY different plot. It is an alternate history: "The year is 1956, and the Axis powers of the Third Reich and Imperial Japan rule. To commemorate their Great Victory, they host the Axis Tour: an annual motorcycle race across their conjoined continents. The prize? An audience with the highly reclusive Adolf Hitler at the Victor's ball in Tokyo. Yael, a former death camp prisoner, has witnessed too much suffering, and the five wolves tattooed on her arm are a constant reminder of the loved ones she lost. The resistance has given Yael one goal: Win the race and kill Hitler. A survivor of painful human experimentation, Yael has the power to skinshift and must complete her mission by impersonating last year's only female racer, Adele Wolfe. This deception becomes more difficult when Felix, Adele's twin brother, and Luka, her former love interest, enter the race and watch Yael's every move."

Someone Like Eva has no supernatural elements or motorcycle race as far as I can tell and is straight historical fiction: "In 1942, eleven-year-old Milada is taken from her home in Lidice, Czechoslovakia, along with other blond, blue-eyed children to a Lebensborn center in Poland. There she is trained to be a "proper German" for adoption by a German family, and all the while she struggles to remember her true identity."
185 Possibly The Dragonfly Years? I wasn't able to find a description of the plot with a quick search, but the one review on GR mentions poetry, so it's worth a shot.

Edit: more digging turns up the fact this was also published with title Hold on to Love and here is a review with more plot details: http://www.csmonitor.com/1984/0302/03...
185 Are you thinking of the Choose Your Own Adventure books? There was one with a Halloween Theme Haunted Halloween Party
185 possibly Princess Nevermore?
185 probably Into the Dream by William Sleator.
185 Discontinued by Julian F Thompson, maybe? It's the boy's mother and brother who are killed by the car bomb, but the erotic massage scene sounds like something Julian Thompson would have written.

"When a suspicious car bomb explosion murders his mother and brother, 17-year-old Duncan Banigan embarks on a quest for answers. On his mission to uncover the mystery behind their deaths, Duncan learns that sometimes you know more about the people who might want to kill you than you do about the people who love you. In his fourth novel, Thompson provides yet another wildly unique look at life as it is experienced by young people."

"In Discontinued Julian Thompson once again thumbs his nose at the few remaining taboos of YA literature and gets away with it. The novel - irreverent and erotic and just plain fun - is his fourth and possibly his best."
185 Maybe something by Belva Plain? One of the Werner Family Saga books, perhaps?
185 Awesome! Happy to help.
185 What Would Joey Do?, maybe? The terms "label maker" and "label gun" appear frequently in the text and the mc's parents are long-separated.

If not, roughly what year did you read this?

185 Another possibility by Victor Canning: Panthers' Moon
185 The only one I can think of with a male model is Bradley And The Billboard
185 Paper Dolls is about modeling, but the main character is female. Maybe you've gotten the title of this one mixed up with the plot of another?
185 Perfect Family, maybe?
185 You're welcome! I'll take care of moving the thread to solved for you. :)
185 Falls The Shadow (Victor Carl, #5) by William Lashner Falls The Shadow ? Published in 2005 but seems to fit, otherwise.
185 Great! be sure to come back and let us know either way so we can either mark this solved, or keep looking!
185 The Scorpio Ghosts and the Black Hole Gang

"Ryan's family is camping out while renovating an old brick schoolhouse that is to be their new home--a boring prospect to the four children, who are less enthralled with building and gardening than Mom and Dad. Things perk up When they receive a ghostly visitation: C.C. (Cotton Candy) and her librarian aunt, recently killed in a nearby bookmobile accident. Undismayed by the apparitions, the three older kids have two goals, both met in the course of the book: keeping the ghosts a secret from their parents and little sister (why this is important is never made clear); and freeing the ghosts and their ghostly bookmobile from the local intersection so that they can range freely through space and time, thus finally giving the children freedom from the garrulous C.C.'s conversation."
