You can also see which other books have been read already (they're quite a few) and then decide to read one of them. Some of them really opened my eyes.

As soon as we get them;)

Is it possible that the duplicates are different editions? Different editions sometimes have different/updated info. There’s no physical way to add the same book twice - Goodreads ma..."
This really would make it easier - and I think many moderators would really like to see the advantages of changing the system in that way.

I gotta say though it's super not active right now, but I hope to change that soon.

Where does it end? Where does it end that we tell people in sports what they have to do about their body's features?
Caster wasn't the first one that was told to change her body (or had her body changed, other athletes did), and I wonder: Where do we draw the line?
Sports was always about exceptional people, just think about Michael Phelps, he was praised for his natural advantages... And an exception doesn't automatically mean it makes you faster, stronger, etc...

Hmm, who knows? Those who have the power will of course defend it but for those of us who actually know what's at stake, I think we disagree.

Hello sweetie:) It is awesome that at such a young age you are interested in feminism. I think OSS is definitely a good place to start reading on feminism and learn about it.
Some books that I definitely recommend reading are:
Buffy Sainte-Marie by Marie Warner (reading it right now and WOOM - what a trailblazer!)
Persepolis (deals with racism and being a refugee)
I too, like Rachael, study sociology, the studies of society.
Please feel free to send me a private message if you want to know more:)

Because trans women are women?
Because women are a diverse group of people, and trans women are too. Because as Patty said: All means all.
Because representation is important. Because only trans writers can write about trans lives in a true way. Because trans women are marginalized and this includes monetary issues too... lifting trans women up means we lift women up!

Change.org petitions can be signed by anybody... that's one of the reasons why I like them so much, they aren't bugging you about geographic restrictions.

I am sure it will be restocked. Otherwise you can always try bying it from the publisher directly.

I do like anthologies, because they give different authors the opportunity to voice their opinion/teach on one subject... and thus one also has a good overview on what people think about a certain topic, or what is important to know about said subject.
Essays are great too.
Just not that much fiction please, I don't like it that much. I always feel that too much fiction lures you into getting away from reality and the important stuff that we need to focus about.

She wrote, among others, Universal Soldier, Soldier Blue and Up Where We Belong, for which she won an Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe Award.
