That is definitely change but then it is not enough...

Ugh, I don't even wanna start on this one - but let's face it, that it was fake won't be spread as far and much as the original mesage

Here is some more information on it, especially why it is called OrangeShirtDay:

It is every year.
It was in Canada I think, because a)in the US they were boarding schools, and the US doesn't acknowledge them at all, the history connected to them.

September 30th, so today.

It's because a young girl, when going to the RS that she had to go to, couldn' take an orange shirt with her that her grandmother had given her as a gift.
179584 Today is OrangeShirtDay!

It is to remember the atrocities and the barbaric methods the Indigenous people in Canada and the US had to face. "Kill the Indian, Save the Man" was their motto, until the very end.
The last residential school closed in the late 1990s, so this IS an ongoing issue that affects people to this very day.

Vincent Schilling, Akwesasne Mohawk, has written an article about OrangeShirtDay in IndianCountryToday:

Or you know, ask the Mohawk Nation if they give them permission to do whatever they want to do.

179584 To say it in Rebekah Ingram's words:

"The first rule of the internet also applies to real life.
#dontmesswiththeHaudenosaunee"

"Honestly, who wakes up in the morning and thinks:' Hey, let's go piss off some Mohawks' is a good idea?"

I definitely agree with her on this. Who thinks it is a good idea to piss off the Mohawks after Oka?

FYI: In the summer of 1990, Oka, Quebec, was the place where the Oka crisis took place. Why? Because settlers wanted to expand the golf course onto a cemetery of the Mohawk, who in return, very understandably, resisted.
And they were in for the long run.

So who thinks it is a good idea to piss them off? I don't think so.

179584 It is with great relief that I can finally say:

California made it!

"California just became the first state to pass legislation on intersex rights. SCR-110 calls on the medical profession to delay cosmetic genital surgery on intersex children until individuals can participate in an informed decision, per international human rights guidelines."

Okay, can I go happy-cry now?

I realise I never really replied to you.
I need to watch it yet, but I am very happy that the intersex movement is becoming more diverse.
Btw, I never saw Intersex being capitalized, but I like it.
