Oh I like that. Can anyone elaborate on that theme?

Oh, oh, oh. Get your picture with it and then add the caption:

"Brendan Stark
Winter is Coming"

177170 ** guys I need some suggestions **

When it was time to set up a general chit chat thread I could not think of a good name. I just found a picture that said Chit Chat Cafe and went with that. I really hate that name and I know we can do better.

Can you guys offer some A Song of Ice and Fire themed names we can switch it to? If we get several I will even send out a poll and we can vote on the winner. Thanks.

Yes I have read that too Terry. I have the discs for seasons 1-4 and I don't think I should re-watch 3 and 4 for quite some time. But season 2 I will re-watch after I finish my read of Clash.

No excuse now Roseanne!

It makes reading so much more enjoyable when you can discuss with others who have actually read or are reading the same things as you.

I have some great friends (in real life) who have to listen to me babble about stuff I read and although it is nice, it is not the same.

Excellent Roseanne.

See what you started by asking your question Alex. Amazing.

177170 Brendan do you read that after Lord of the Rings?

I gotta' be honest here. I am going into this pretty blindly. I started to watch The Lord of the Rings and I fell asleep. Not that it was not good. Just a bad time to stretch out and watch a movie. That is about all the experience I have with this series/movies.

177170 Excellent Brianna and Brendan. Oh it is so easy to buy books for reading "When I have time." I am trying to stop doing that it is not easy though.

Yep, the Hobbit first then Lord of the Rings trilogy all done in the same group.

177170 Brendan I would love to read the Narnia series but as you can see I am kinda gonna be busy for a while. Like all of 2016!!!!

Early Next year if you have still not read the series let me know.

177170 Me too. Want to be a moderator with me?

177170 I have oodles of time so I will keep my eyes open for a good price.
Mar 06, 2016 12:37PM

177170 Yes the struggle is always there with me too.
I am going to hopefully get something like this:

J.R.R. Tolkien 4-Book Boxed Set The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
Mar 06, 2016 12:30PM

177170 haha...I will add it to one of my calendars.

Yes, I get to go shopping and buy more books! Not that I needed a reason to do that; it happens all the time.

In the summertime we will start to get the chatter going on it and hopefully find others interested. But just remind me if I forget.
Mar 06, 2016 12:18PM

177170 lol That is awesome. We will definitely keep in touch about it and in the fall perhaps we can start Tokien Series (is that what you even call it, I dunno' I never read it before).

I personally like the way Amy has set this group up as just the series. That way people know what they are getting.

Pssssst, The Narnia series has me a little interested as well.
Mar 06, 2016 12:11PM

177170 Well this group was set up as A Song of Ice and Fire but personally I have been wanting to read the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I can set up a group if others want to join me.

Do you have any other ideas Alex?

177170 So far, so good on my resisting temptation Alex.
