177170 OK you Ygritte lovers - no names mentioned he~he. I try to like her but I just cannot. Her"you know nothing Jon Snow" comments are really getting on my nerves.

These last two chapters are so good. Jon and Bran are so close to each other and don't even know it.

Queenscrown sounds quite beautiful.
177170 Oh Bran now aren't you glad Maester Luwin taught you all that valuable information? If not for his lessons you would not have known about the secret walkway beneath the lake’s surface!

Poor Hodor and his getting scared at the storm. Didn't you just want to give him a great big hug?

177170 I kept coming across the word 'leagues' as far as distance and was unsure what it meant. ex: " a distance of 25 leagues "

I had to look it up and found this:

"A league is a unit of length (or, in various regions, area). It was long common in Europe and Latin America, but it is no longer an official unit in any nation. The word originally meant the distance a person could walk in an hour. Since the Middle Ages, many values have been specified in several countries."
177170 I am not really clear on why The Hound is hanging around them. He is like that annoying ex that won't stay away!

Is it just for the gold or is there more to it than that?
177170 Great comments Ria.

re:
Oh, and I'm disappointed in Renly and Robb. Neither of them is wise enough to play the game of thrones, regardless of what they might think. To be fair though, Robb was brought here by others' actions and was bound by honour to avenge his father, so he's just trying to do the best he can in a situation that can hardly be called advantageous, while Renly's fate was a direct result of his own arrogant and narcissistic desire to be king. He should've known better. "

That is very true. Both guys felt so strongly about what they wanted.

And your potato is great!

Whoa I really hope that is not true. But I do wish he would hurry the hell up with the book!

177170 Should I add A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms as a Nov. read?

If by some miracle The Winds of Winter is out we can change the date.

Yes he certainly is not Your Typical Lannister. He is a fan favorite for sure.

177170 ASOIAF has taught me some new words:
-betrothed
-usurper

ASOIAF has also taught me that things are not always what they seem.

ASOIAF has taught me that one must always look with more than just their eyes.

177170 Someone fill me in please (or remind me if I have just forgotten)

So Sansa was first married to Tyrion and then they both just kind of went their own ways and took off from King's Landing.

But then she ended up being forced to marry Ramsay.

So how can she marry Ramsay if she is still technically married to Tyrion? Did her first marriage end that I cannot remember? What is this Sister Wives where you can be married to more than one person at a time? Enlighten me please.

177170 Yes Jon and Sansa together will get the job done! I hate to admit how much Sansa has grown on me. With all she has been through she has become a better person. She even seemed to care about Arya and her whereabouts.

And as for Theon I do wish him the best. He has grown up a lot and learned from all his mistakes. I hope we see lots more on his story.

And I agree that Dani had a great plan. I still don't like to see all the "Mother of Dragons, Breaker of Chains", blah blah blah though. I look forward to seeing Jorah's skin turn and what will happen with all that. I mean I don't want him to get sick and die but I do want to see what he becomes.

Great episode! Sadly that was nearly the 1/2 way point of season 6. (episode #4) That depresses me.

177170 Oh yes that was so funny too.

Did anyone notice that Cersei and Tommen have the same hairstyle now? lol

177170 I just got home from some time away and finally caught up on episode #2. HOLY CRAP JON IS BACK!!!!

I also laughed at one part. Tyrion was leaving the dungeon and said to Varys something like" If I ever get any ideas like this please slap me." I nearly died. That was so funny.

Now off to watch #3 before tonight's episode airs.

Oh he was! I should watch it again soon.
177170 I have mental images of that filthy bath water Jaime and Brienne are soaking in. Yuck!
177170 Ah ok.
177170 Yes he is. You just want to give him a great big hug!

177170 Welcome to the group Caprice. I am with you; these books are great!
177170 That hand removal seems so cruel but not uncommon in this world.

I wonder if the right hand was chosen on purpose knowing that is Jaime's sword hand or if it was just a coincidence.

This book is great. I normally don't have this much spare time to read but it has worked out well because I can hardly put it down.
