The Frey's actions disgust me. What am I referring to?

-They sewed a direwolf head onto Robb's corpse's shoulder and put a crown on it.

-They threw Catelyn's naked body into the Green Fork.

Classless acts people! I think they went over the top with this one.

I have come to realize that the further ahead I get in this book the harder it is to go back to the posts of other people and remember what the heck you guys are talking about. I am not ignoring your comments Lena but I am not sure what some of them mean because of how far back in the book that info is. It is best left for people who are closer to those chapters since it will be fresh in their minds.

I agree that this book gets better and better. I want to stop reading so others can catch up and also so that I won't run out of book. But it so good it is hard to set down.

Yep Robb marries a girl who helps mend the injured knights. But I forget her name.

Sadly these Dani chapters are just not my favorite.

I really like the dude so much. In book #1 when Joffrey sent him packing I was mad because he was let go for no good reason. I feared the Lannisters (Well Cersei) may even kill him because that is the kind of thing that they do.

I hope Dani can forgive him for what I don't really see as betrayal. She needs him.

She needs to sit down and talk with him. She Needs to let him know they will never been more than friends. (or did that already happen? I don't remember) She needs him around. He is smart and knows Essos and the people in it. He genuinely cares about her and her cause.

Oh my God what a cool chapter! I was actually kind of scared at what was down in the well. I did not see that coming at all.

That Black Gate down the well was very cool and I have a great mental image of it. But what I don't get is why did Bran not stay on that side of the wall and try to get to Jon at Castle Black? To me that would have been first priority. Was it because of the chance of danger ?

Donal Noyle made the scarecrow sentinels. What a great idea. I mean it did not really help too much but those would fool some people I bet.

So it seems that it was never the plan to kill Catelyn too. We learn that She was to be taken captive. Her freak out (which was very understandable) caused her death. Oh well, no more Catelyn chapters.

This book is impossible to put down.

That blows Ria. But yes holding them would be a lot lighter. I only have the paperback version of A Storm of Swords and it is plenty heavy.

Roseanne I love my Ereader too but I go back and forth with paper vs Ebook. I like the paper because you can lend and borrow more easily. If it is a legally purchased Ebook it is pretty much yours and yours alone. But I love my Kobo because you never have to worry about the light in the room or font size and can adjust, adjust, adjust.

As long as I am reading and GRRM is writing then life is good.

Do you have to buy both book #1 of a Storm of Swords and book #2 of a Storm of Swords separately or do the two come together as a box set?

I've never read the book but I saw the movie. Yeah not a good name.

I have a friend with that breed. I cannot believe how much hair he leaves behind. They don't look like they would be so hairy but OMG !

From what I have read:

"At the time of its publication, A Storm of Swords was the longest novel in the series. It was so long that in the UK, Australia and Israel its paperback edition was split in half, Part 1 being published as Steel and Snow in June 2001 (with the one-volume cover) and Part 2 as Blood and Gold in August 2001 (with a specially-commissioned new cover). The same division was used in the Polish and Greek editions. In France, the decision was made to cut the novel into four separate volumes."

If you have this version please enlighten us. What chapter does the book end at? Roseanne has the chapters listed above

Did any of your opinions on the characters change or change again after this book?

In A Clash of Kings, Catelyn's chapters end with a cliffhanger on the fate of Jaime Lannister. Did you think that she would free him? Did she make the right/best choice?

Sansa seems to get the short end of the stick all the time. Do you think there's anything she can do to change her situation or is she too weak to do so?

Do you think that Jon was/is/could be a turncloak and join the wildlings for real?

Why do you think GRRM made Jaime Lannister a narrator in this book and not the ones before it?

Why do you think Stannis is wrapped up in Melisandre? He doesn't seem the type to get lured in, even by a pretty face.

This book deals with the other side of politics- marriage. Do you think GRRM did a good job of showing just how important this facet can be in the political realm?

What did you think of Mance Rayder? Is he a hero or a villian (or a little of both)?

The White Walkers make a much bigger appearance in this book. What do you think of them?

The Red Wedding- Why GRRM? Why?!?

This was my least favorite chapter of the book so far. I set it down countless times.
