They are/were both awful people but that would have been interesting.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark!

No Jaime thought, My sweet sister holds that title too. "
Now that is too funny.
I am glad Jaime has started to see his sister for what she truly is.

When Brienne first sees the boy who looked remarkbly like Renly I first thought that Renly must have had a bastard soon we did not know of. Then I was thinking no he was gay so if he were to go roaming around looking for sex it would likely be with a man. Then when Gendry's name was given I was so happy. I always thought one day he and Arya would reunite and end up together.

When Ser Hyle tries to pick up Brienne and suggests she leave her door open for him to return, her come back made me laugh out loud.
"If you do, you'll be a eunuch when you leave. "
I need to remember that line and have it ready for use when opportunity presents itself.

I just don't have any tv show going on right now. Other than Big Brother nothing I like is airing. All shows are on season hiatus.
When I want to pop on a baseball game my team (Giants) usually has not yet started. Oh the joys of cheering for West coast teams. I love when they are on the road on the East coast. I actually get to see beyond the second inning.

Have to go with Pride and Prejudice"
I am really looking forward to reading this one. I thought it was a huge book but I saw it at Coles and was all "Pffffff, I am
Reading 1000 page books now. This little sucker?" I didn't realize it was just over 300 pages. (My pocketbook anyway)
For 13 (beautiful cover) I have to give an honorable mention to

Because I hated book 1, I donated it with no plans to read it. It is book 3. The cover is so pretty but that wasn't enough to keep the book.

Valonqar is High Valyrian for "little brother". It is the word used by "Maggy", a maegi and fortune teller, in her prophecies to Cersei Lannister and Melara Hetherspoon.

Maggy to Cersei:
"The valongar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat
And choke the life from you."
Well I am going out on a limb here with this prediction but I am going to put it out there. I do think Cersei will die in this manner. But I think it will be at the hands (well hand-one real and one gold) of Jaime not Tyrion. Cersei is minutes older than Jaime.

"One must simply find the strength to carry a direwolf over the wall!"
Jul 14, 2016 04:36AM

I agree. They are so wrapped up in their selfish selves that they can't be bothered to take the issues at the Wall seriously.
Jul 14, 2016 04:24AM

This book just does not pack the same punch for me that the others had. It is good but it is not the same page turner as the others.

It runs from Nov. 1 till Dec. 31
*****EDIT
This will be open for a while since people still intend to read the book so feel free to post. *****

I am going to agree that likely you will be in the minority. But it's great to see differences in opinions.
I love Tyrion now as much as ever.
