176204 The writing is easy yet somehow weird. It is a really weird mix in the story elements. On one hand too bad you couldn't get into it but on the other you didn't miss anything special.
176204 Ugh you got that right and then some! But it is just so ridiculously hilarious! Like ridiculously! I had this in my tbr for some time. I will read the second after New Years!

Yeah she can be a spaz and so can the hero but still it was alarmingly refreshing! Such realism! Loved it :D
176204 If it wasn't for Whitney picking this I would have never had given it a second glance or added it let alone read it.
It was amazingly REFRESHING! It got on my nerves at points but I loved it (^_^)/
176204 Ok this was my pick and I am baffled. Honest to Goddess baffled. I liked and at the same time I didn't lol!
Well liked has the bigger percent tbh! I laughed so hard at some parts!
I still wonder how on earth is Aurora still alive?!? HOW?!?!
176204 Finished this in one sitting. Really good though extremely predictable. Her writing style is quite "easy" which I kinda like :)

Demons at Deadnight

This is my pick for our December Read!
❤️ I hope you enjoy my pick! ❤️

Blurb:
For seventeen-year-old Aurora Lahey, survival is a lifestyle.

DEMONIC DESTINY
Aurora has the crappiest superpower on the planet. And it’s just unleashed a hit squad from hell. Demons are on the hunt, salivating to carve her carcass into confetti. ´

CHARISMATIC KILLERS
The Hex Boys—mysterious, hunky, and notorious for their trails of destruction—have the answers Aurora needs to survive. But their overload of deadly secrets and suspicious motives makes trusting them a potentially fatal move.

LETHAL ALLIES
The battle to save her family, herself, and stop demonic domination may cost Aurora everything worth living for, and force her to reveal her own dark secrets. But no worries. She needs the Hex Boys to pull this off, and, chances are, teaming up with these guys will get her killed anyway.

Kissing Tolstoy

This is my pick for our December Read!
❤️ I hope you enjoy my pick! ❤️

Blurb:
What do you do when you discover that your super-hot blind date from months ago is now your super-hot Russian Lit professor?

You overthink everything and pray for a swift end to your misery, of course!

‘Kissing Tolstoy’ is the first book in the Dear Professor series, is 46k words, and can be read as a standalone. A shorter version of this story (28k words) was entitled ‘Nobody Looks Good in Leather Pants’ and was available via Penny Reid’s newsletter over the course of 2017.

The Air He Breathes

This is my pick for our December Read!
❤️ I hope you enjoy my pick! ❤️

Blurb:
I was warned about Tristan Cole. "Stay away from him," people said. "He's cruel." "He's cold." "He's damaged."

It's easy to judge a man because of his past. To look at Tristan and see a monster. But I couldn't do that. I had to accept the wreckage that lived inside of him, because it also lived inside of me.

We were both empty. We were both looking for something else. Something more. We both wanted to put together the shattered pieces of our yesterdays. Then perhaps we could finally remember how to breathe.

176204 This was Amazing!!! Great pick!! ♥♥♥

Hey Brenda! Welcome to the group! It's not weird to want to save books of your fav author to always have a new one to read! I basically do the same, managing what I will read next.

Hey Allisyn & welcome to the group! Wow that is quite a time, nice! Hmm, My first book of Tijan's was "Sustain"!

Yvette wrote: "I'm Yvette and I have been a serious fan for a few years now. Anti-step brother is my go to."

Hey Yvette & welcome to the group! I haven't read that one yet but of course it's in my tbr list!
176204 Gonna start this as well! I've never read anything similar before and it sounds interesting!
176204 Yeap, it is from Dorians point of view and yeah cover is great! All these alternate covers for this series are great, really suitable to the content i think :)
176204 I've wanted to read this for quite some time now and i thought this was a good opportunity to so.

Started it today and finished it today, read it in one sitting. I enjoyed it very much though.. Eager to see what comes next for Dorian!
Would recommend as it is refreshing. Hope it improves on something though..

Anyone else that have read, currently reading or will pick it up?

I know, but we don't want copy/paste books. Just close enough. I'm sure there are tropes similar to some Tijan is using out there :)
