I haven't been paying attention; I only just noticed this thread was active:)I'm going to go with The Mechanical by Ian Tregillis for SF and Dreamer's Poolby Juliet Marillier or fantasy. Both have been getting great reviews.
Christine wrote: "I finished Squire and Fated and have just started Updraft"I read Updraft last month; I thought it was good! I finished An Inheritance of Ashes and would recommend that one. I'm now reading The Unquiet, which is very interesting so far.

Yes I agree...was it just about Bellurdan and Nightchill from Gardens of the Moon? Otherwise it did just seem to come from nowhere, and even that latter connection I thought was very tenuous. It seemed like a lot of story space to spend too...so I'm not entirely sure what the point was except to advance Nimander and his group into their new roles.
Yes Kathi I think Scott is the only only one on track right now with Dust of Dreams. I just finished Rising Tide, the follow up to Falling Sky and now I am rereading Golden Son because the final installment, Morning Star, is due out in February.
Finished Falling Sky, and it was pretty good. Now reading Aurora, which is not impressive at all so far, especially compared to the last generation ship book I read, Children of Time, which was brilliant.
I finished Archivist Wasp and would definitely recommend it. I am now reading Falling Sky...another book that has been on my TBR for so long that the sequel is now out before I managed to get to it:)
Yes...too bad there are always so many great new books coming out to tempt me away from from rereads!
I just finished The Traitor Baru Cormorant, and do recommend that to anyone still trying to decide whether or not to read it this month. It was very good. Although if you are choosing between that and Ancillary Mercy, I would have to say go for the latter:) But read both if you can!I'm currently reading Archivist Wasp. Very good so far.
I read this very recently and LOVED IT. I highly recommend reading it if you enjoyed the other books at all.
I just finished this. Very well written and a particularly good effort considering it is a debut novel. It isn't a lightweight work, and the tone reminded me in parts of Malazan and some of Stephen Donaldson's writing.
I finished Updraft, and like Shel, I enjoyed it:)I'm about a third of the way through The Traitor Baru Cormorant right now, which will be my last book of the month. So far it reminds me of a cross between Malazan and The Dagger and the Coin.

You are the best discussion facilitator. Your awesomeness is legendary...look how many people have hopped on the Malazan read:) Mostly with those books the thing is that once I start I just want to power through them otherwise I get distracted and forget what is going on. Worry not about dust trails:)
