We will read the same book for the magic week (with lots of members) and the crying week.
I read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and liked the 1st half more than the last one. I'll be happy to discuss it, it was an unusual read :)

It's different from the movies with time loops I saw, but one very interesting point is the fact we learn things about time loopers. I'm enjoying this part :)
Katie > yes, I'll give my opinion for sure. At 50%, I already can say that the story is too serious / dark for my tastes, but the hero's adventures are interesting as he doesn't choose to live an "easy life". Not what I expected, but a good book anyway for the moment.

I usually figure plots near half the book, so I'll see if I've a clue before the end for this one!

Hollow World is the best :D

I'll check the Riyria shorts for sure because I'll need to learn how to pronounce all the names. It wasn't difficult in HW but I already have a problem with "Riyria" so I'm sure I'll have a hard time figuring the characters' names. Audio helps.
Usually when a story moves me, I listen music when reading. Obviously, I needed it here after this special chapter end (this moment is an interesting one because my friends were ranting about it on Twitter, avoiding spoilers, and it was so easy to know which moment was involved).
I saw that sometimes you listen music while writing books or searching ideas, so I wanted to know if there were several special songs which accompanied the Hollow World writing process.
Other question: what are your favorite time travel books? I already received some classic recommendations but I could use some more.

Summary:
Returning to India is an overwhelming experience for Priya. [...]
But Priya’s relatives remain the same. Her mother and father insist that it’s time they arranged her marriage to a “nice Indian boy.” [...]
Just as Priya begins to feel she can’t possibly tell her family that she’s engaged to an American, a secret is revealed that leaves her stunned and off-balance. Now she is forced to choose between the love of her family and Nick, the love of her life.
My first choice was a book set in North America, but as I read mainly UK and US books, it missed a true change of scenery. I decided to try a new country I've never read about (Vietnam & Japan could be nice but I already read stories set there).
India is really a change of scenery because of all the cast system and the arranged marriages. They are really foreign for me, even if I know they exist. I was always curious about them and as The Mango Season has good ratings, I thought it could meet my expectations. The fact the hero spent some time in US adds a little bonus to the story, I'm looking forward to discover how she sees now the rules in her society.
Getting involved in group book discussions, even if you're not currently reading the book that week.

So big to-read list. So more books to add :p

So far, I'm enjoying it (and I'm glad the reading pace is not fast). It's fun to picture things before they happen and I'm surprised I remember so well the details of the story. As my last 2 books were/are heavy and depressing, HW is a welcome little breeze of fresh air and a bubble of happiness :)
I'm happy because 2 of my friends loved the book (the 3rd will start it soon as, well, now we're 3 spamming her). Usually our tastes in reading are different except for some authors, so this recommendation makes me proud.
I've to finish 2-3 books and I'll push the buy button for Riyria, I'm very curious about it and it's difficult to wait. It's nice to discover a new author and to be enthusiastic about his books ;)

Harry continued to be a very serious character and to tell about his lives. They were different and interesting but the writing is focused on their bad parts, so go away if you want a funny book! Learning more about Harry's kind added lots of society questions, I liked it. However, I would prefer the book without the torture scenes, they were awful and I think the descriptions added nothing to the story.
