Welcome, Athira!

I guess it should be open by tonight or tomorrow morning (the time difference makes it a bit difficult to time the polls.) And I'll share it with all the group members as a message broadcast the day after tomorrow. :)

Here it is:

I'll be reading all the audiobooks you recommended earlier, Dagny. So in 2017 I'll do better than this year. And I'm planning on reading a lot of audiobooks.
I'm also going to go for Level 5.

Thank you"
Hey, Jenn. Welcome to the challenge. :)

But it was only because of you that I was able to make a list at all, Dagny. I was going through the first list I sent you and I literally cringed. Lol. Thanks a lot for helping out with this list. Now we're all set for the coming year!

Thank you, Cheryl! It wouldn't have been possible at all without Dagny :)

I'll set up the poll for this one as soon as we'll have at least 5 options :)

We all love reading series. Don't we? But a number of times we start reading a series, but due to some or the other reason end up not finishing them. If you abandon the series because you don't like it then it is not a problem, but if you love a series and leave it without finishing all the books in it due to some reason, then it is most unfortunate.
So this challenge, RMFAO 2017 Series Challenge, is here to give you an opportunity to complete those series! You can even start with a fresh series and try to complete it within the year.
There are absolutely no rules for this challenge. All you have to do is complete as many series as you can.
We can use this discussion board to discuss the series we are planning to read. Don't forget to share book recommendations,
Happy reading

If you are a NetGalley addict then you might very well know that reading all the books on the NetGalley shelf, especially if you've been on NetGalley for a couple of years, is practically impossible. But do not worry, here comes the RMFAO 2017 NetGalley Challenge.
This challenge is for those lost souls, like myself, who have hundreds of books on their NetGalley shelf and still keep on requesting new titles every month (or probably every week.)
It is time to dig up the old titles that you once deemed important enough to request and feel happy about getting accepted for. It's time to start reading all those old titles that are affecting your Ratio and stopping you from getting accepted for the rare and famous titles.
Let's challenge ourselves and lighten our NetGalley Bookshelves!
All you have to do is pick a number from 5-50 (or 100 even) and start reading the books you really can't afford to miss from your NetGalley shelf. Post about those books here and after finishing just put the serial number of your read and add it here.
If you have any questions, feel free to comment and ask below.
Happy reading!

I present to you all the 3rd instalment of the most awesome reading challenge on this planet - RMFAO 2017 Genre Challenge.
For the third year of this challenge, Mod. Dagny and I have decided to do this challenge the old way keeping only one genre per month. We believe that having one genre every month makes it easy for all the members to prepare and organize their reads, while still leaving the room for individual interpretations.
We don't want to burden or restrict you all by giving sub-genres as that creates a set of problems that comes in between the actual reading. This year you can decide on the sub-genres as per your convenience.
Though, we have added an Alternate Genre for the three most unpopular genres, so that you will have the choice to read any of the two genres for these three months - March, April, and November.
RMFAO 2017 Genre-List:
‣ January - Science-Fiction
‣ February - Mystery-Thriller
‣ March - Women's Fiction or Westerns
‣ April - YA or short story/poetry collections
‣ May - Classics/Literary
‣ June - Non-Fiction
‣ July - Dystopian/Apocalyptic
‣ August - Contemporary Fiction
‣ September - Humour
‣ October - Horror
‣ November - Historical or Steampunk
‣ December - Adventure/Fantasy
Monthly Levels (to be announced each month):
Level 1: Casual Reader: 1 book (easy)
Level 2: Frequent Reader: 2 books (moderate)
Level 3: Bookworm: 3 books (mildly strenuous)
Level 4: Bibliophile: 4 books (strenuous)
Level 5: Bookiopath: 5 books or more (challenging)
Please mention what type of books you'd be reading:
PB: Paperbacks
EB: E-Books
AB: Audio Books
PLEASE READ (especially new members):
1. You can read any number of books for the respective genre each month in one particular month.
2. Take your time and go through your entire TBR-list before deciding the books to read.
3. You can join the challenge at any stage (in any month.)
4. You can drop out of the challenge any time you like.
5. You can select different levels every month.
6. Use this discussion board to share your reads with other members of the group.
7. Please be active and don't hesitate to ask questions or recommend books.
Happy reading <3
