147920 Finished
1# The High Window
2# The Lady in the Lake

I like Chandler, and Marlowe in particular. I guess after five or six books will be a little predictable, but is easy to read and the stories have the right dose of mystery and intrigue.

Overall, I liked this series. Yes, after the first book, It wasn't necessary continue with the others. But the sequels add more details to the Ringworld: how it's done, who built it, description of races living on it. So, probably they are been written to respond to requests by fans. Personally I liked the series, but I think that the last book is finished too fast, like a tv series with no more budget. :)

147920 8# Ringworld's Children: 4 stars.
Not bad but I didn't like too much the way Niven ended this series.

147920 7# The Ringworld Throne.

Even though January is finished, I'll read the next book, Ringworld's Children.

147920 6# I've finished The Ringworld Engineers. This is a nice story, with more details about the story of Ringworld. I am curious to continue the series.

147920 I've finished Gateway, only 4 stars. I have to take some time to write reviews. This book is good, but I didn't like how it ended, too much focused on the psychological analysis.
I would like to continue with the RIngworld series, even if I had planned to read other books.

147920 3# Neutron Star, 5 stars.
A collection of stories by Larry Niven, all of them take place in the "Known Space", that is the setting of the Ringworld series, too.

4# Ringworld, 5 stars.

This is the first book of an excellent series. I hope to read the other books asap.

147920 I've finished Neutron Star, a good collection of novels set on the universe created by Larry Niven. It's a good introduction to start the Ringworld series.

147920 Today, I was about to start Ringworld, but a friend advised me to read Neutron Star before, because there is a more detailed description of the universe and the races who live there. So now I'm reading this one.

147920 Yesterday I've finished The Big Time: nice, but not so exciting. It's built like a play, the main scenario like a Theatre. There is also a second short novel in this book, with the same characters, but I didn't like so much. Not the type of sci Fi novel I thought.

I always have a soft spot for Fritz Leiber because I met him once. It was at a SF convention back in the 80s."

It must have been great! The first stories I read by him, were about Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser. I like his style and his subtle humor. I like also this story, even thought I read only a couple of chapters.

147920 I've finished Leviathan Wakes: wow, it's a great series, with a wonderful and complex universe, spectacular battles and a mysterious background story. I'm looking forward to see the next. Today I started The Big Time.

147920 In the last month I couldn't follow regularly this challenge. But this time I would like to read the follow:

Operation Chaos
Elric of Melnibone
The Sailor on the Seas of Fate
The Weird Of The White Wolf
The Vanishing Tower

I don't know If I'll finish all these books before the end of the year, but I'll try.
I'll read the italian version, so these books could be included in some omnibus.

I never read yet, Heena. I know exits a book named "Four", but I'm not sure to want read it.
I've finished the series and other books could ruin my opinion about it. This isn't a series I would see continue at any cost.
