This is a genre I've always loved, but I read few by this authors (Planet of the Damned was my first book by Harry Harrison). I hope these two are the first of a long series, this year. :)

147920 Few books in this first month of the year and only two sci-fi:

The Sands of Mars
Planet of the Damned

I love the classical sci-fi of the 50'-60'. There is not a great scientific base and detailed examples (many of the recents books needed a good preparation in physic), but a lot of action and humor.

147920 Today I've finished Iceberg, another good book by Clive Cussler, but without the usual historical mystery. I don't think I can read another adventure book before the end of the year, so I'll try to finish the other book I started .

147920 I hope to finish a couple of books before the end of the year so, for this challenge, yesterday I started Iceberg, a book of Dirk Pitt series.

Till now is good, even though the real adventure has yet to begin. There are a lot of naval terms and many info about arguments like music and science, but it's an easy reading.

147920 Ok! This is a genre I love and I have so many books that it's only a matter of choose. The first one I started is Master and Commander. I'll try to read the most possible.

147920 I'm late, but I finished Skeleton Crew, a collection of novels by Stephen King. Some are very good, others a little less.

A wonderful story I read with pleasure. :)

This would be fantastic! I would be happy to read Boy's Life. It's a book I didn't know. :)

This is my second book by McCammon, but he is an author I like very much.
Finished this, I would like to read other novels by him. :)

The only book I read before this, was Swan Song, a wonderful story. I like this one because, even if set in the modern days, has all the dark atmosphere of a gothic novel.

147920 I hadn't thought to read some horror, but I started Usher's Passing some days ago. A great horror, based on Poe's novel, with some incredible element and a mystery in the background.

I read only a little part of all his books, more or less of all his periods. I know that someone don't like the recent works, but I think that continue to define him only like the "King of Thrills and Chills" it's not exact. He has experimented many different genres and many times with success. I like this in an author.

Not the most famous book of King, but I found it great!"

Just grabbed this one from my library. Thanks, Andrew."

You're welcome! I think that if you can read all books of King, you'll discover how this man has changed through the stories he has created.
Some are good and other less, but I would like to read them all. :)

147920 Today I've finished Locke & Key, Vol. 6: Alpha & Omega, the last chapter of this series. Till now, this is my favorite graphic novel, one of the best I ever read.
Jul 31, 2016 03:12PM

147920 I've read Locke & Key, Vol. 5: Clockworks and I'm looking forward to finish this series. Tomorrow I'll start the last book.

147920 It's a good challenge this month. In these days I've finished other two reading:

5) Preacher, Vol. 1: Gone to Texas
6) Locke & Key, Vol. 4: Keys to the Kingdom

Preacher is an incredible series, not easy to read and full of vulgarity, violence and other things. I've never read other works of the author, but this story is intriguing.

147920 Finished my 4th book: The Running Man.
I was curious to read this, after watched many times the movie.
Not bad, nice story and pace, an end that may not be surprising.
