((I hate to say it but you're talking to the wrong person lol I not only have never once dated, but I'm also terrible when it comes to advice like this. Any time I've had a crush, I've said nothing because I'm chicken. I'm the idiot who held feelings in for about 7 years, and then he broke my heart. Another person I liked think I loved, and I lost the chance. Worst part is I think he liked me too. Either that or he was just that nice. =.= So...you can talk to me about the stuff, but I wouldn't expect any grand advice lol

Well...I suppose for this time, rereading what I said, you could tell him before you lose YOUR chance. You can trust me when I say it sucks. XD))

She nodded once, glad she had won something against him - he seemed like the type who always won, even at the little things. Not that that was the point, it was just a side bonus.

An ood elder approached them before the Melody could speak. It gave them both a respectable bow before answering the two time lords' question. "There is a storm on its way, Melody, Doctor. We are gathered for safety."

The Melody tilted her head. "A storm? But the winter storms are never severe enough for us to gather in one place alone..."

((Oooh, I'm sure you'll be fine. XD Just keep focused and know your part (something I learned in all my years in choir). But you also want to relax. ^^))

She smiled awkwardly. "I'm not asking you to stop completely, just when it comes to me then simply tone it down at least a little. Or go about it without my knowledge. Trust me the way you expect me to trust you, alright?" The Melody paused to think to herself for a moment. "I guess that's what I'm trying to say - not tone it down, just trust me once in a while. Can you at least do that...?" she asked uncertainly.

((Never did band, I was always in choir. ^^ The practice is worth it though, I assure you - I love watching marching bands in parades. ^^))

"Forever?? I came here in my own, and in yours we went for one spin," she pointed out, literally, as she stuck her pointer in front of her to make a point. "One. I understand you're a guy who likes to help and care, and that's fine, I just wouldn't mind if you'd loosen up a little, at least with me." The Melody wouldn't have said this if her gut weren't as strong as it was. She hadn't received any bad vibe about going, hence why she went, and she had found over the years that her gut was usually right. "If you go around trying to keep everyone in check, you yourself are going to end up hurt. I've seen it happen, Doctor...and as kind as you are, I would hate to see it happen to you."

((No problem. I won't be on till either Sunday or Monday. Going up to a cabin so there won't be wifi.))

She jumped at his sudden outburst, then rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "Yeah. You did. But I don't even really know you! When did you decide that you were my guardian, hm? Cause I don't remember anything of that sort happening. I remember milkshakes and Cybermen, not hey, I'm your guardian now. I haven't died yet while you've been around, and I still apparently can't take care of myself...!? I'm cool with being friends, but you're not my parent."

Inside, things were actually mostly fine, and it was a huge relief off the Melody's shoulders. She was smiling and greeting them, and so some she gave hugs. Quite honestly, she'd forgotten about the Doctor for a few minutes there.

A few of the elder Ood watched from a corner of the room, shaking their heads and discussing something quietly amongst themselves.

The Melody groaned and hung her shoulder's dramatically. Waiting would take forever! Biting her lip, she looked in the direction he had gone in, then in the direction she had tried to go in. Looking back for a second, she made up her mind and ran. So what if she left footprints in the snow? Despite his valid points, what gave him the right to tell her what to do? They'd only known each other a few hours and he was not her parent. Possibly and probably about old enough to be so, but all the same.

((Sorry, we were busy. Had to pack up on the 21st, and then we spent the 22nd driving to Minnesota. I'll be on and off for most of the week.))

"But- " she started, sounding as if she had another excuse, but she had none. Sighing, the Melody looked to the side unhappily. "Fine. But we have to hurry! So do that thing where you call your TARDIS!" She looked back up at him desperately.

"But I'll just come back, won't I??" The Melody didn't completely understand the way their regenerations worked, which was why she argued this.

"Why?"

She tilted her head, slightly confused. "Yours...?" The Melody shook her head, shaggy hair fanning out. "We don't have time to go back... They could need help now!"

"Think this through?? How can we think things through if we don't even know what's going on!" The Melody wasn't shouting, jut being...passionate.

She looked up at him irritably. "This is my family we're talking about, Doctor. And I would appreciate it if you would let me go and see what's wrong. Nothing has ever happened here before - not for years! Why would something happen now??" But because of this she couldn't help but think he was right.

"To see the elders, if they're there. If they are then they can explain why it's so deserted..."

"Very." She stopped looking around and let her gaze target a familiar building - the ace where the elders gathered. "Come on," she said, grabbing the eve of the Doctor's coat to drag him along.

She spun around a few times to look around at her surroundings carefully. "Where is everyone? Rhetorical question, but all the same..."

The Melody grinned as they walked, but she slowly came to a stop again and looked around, confused.

((SPIELBERG OUTDID HIMSELF. CGI WASNT TERRIBLE AND THE GRAPHICS AND THE DINOS AND THE IREX ANIMATRONIC AND THE GUY AND THE RAPTORS AND THE STORY AND MEANING AND OH MY GOD WATCH IT. I WANTED TO PET AND KISS THE IREX'S NOSE. GAAAAAAH. TOTALLY SEEING IT AGAIN AND ADDING IT TO MY COLLECTION. I will say though - a lot of people were hating on the raptors being trained, but once you watch it it's really not so bad and I kinda liked the idea. It's kinda like training a lion - they know the tricks but they could still turn on you in a matter of seconds.))

"Course I am!" she smiled back at him with another giggly laugh.
