The rest of the day went as a blur, and I hardly remembered any of it. Errands, errands - and more errands, until we finally pulled back into the apartment building parking lot, and I launched myself out of the car and straight up to my room. I didn't wait for Dad, not even to remove my shoes, I just beelined for the stairs. Only when I was safely in my room, did I finally relax and let myself fall with a thump onto my bed. I don't know how long I was lying there, just staring up at the ceiling, but later, much later, I woke up to see that sunlight was no longer streaming through my open window, and that instead night was decending.

"Uh, okay, okay guys? Guys?" I shout over the quickly loudening din. "Um, well, let's stop with the insults, kay? Why don't we just...um...well, how about we all go back to the hotel and have the whole group talk this out - remember Indigo, Paige - Alex and Sveinn? C'mon, we can figure it all out with the help of the rest of our group. How does that sound?"

I just stand there, wide eyed, watching the scene unfolding before me. "What a group." I thought, amazed. "I probably couldn't do anything like that in a million years..."

So, I've made a few book covers of my own, using MS Word, and in this contest they will FINALLY be put to use. I will show you the cover, and all contestants will create a blurb* for it!

Rules:

- The blurb can be anything from a sentence to a paragraph
- But make sure it is catchy and fun - it will be judged on creativity, catchiness, and, well, good grammar too, I suppose
- No swearing or inappropriate topics within the blurb
- I, along with two other judges**, will vote for the winner

The competition begins Monday, 10/6/14, and ends Monday, 10/13/14


*a blurb is a short kinda catchy sentence/paragraph about the book, you usually find it at the back cover of the book.
** the judges will be appointed when they step up and ask for the postition
