I bent down to comfort the tear stained face of Indigo, and hugged her. Hard. I felt her body relax, and she timidly hugged back. It was just too much. A group of kids like us just weren't cut out for this kind of stuff. Killing, dying, injuring, screaming, rotting - it was all too much.

I knew I was beginning to give way, beginning to feel all the tension and fear building up in side of me, and the rest of the group, too. Alex, Paige and Indigo, Carla and Doyle - even Salifia and Aura.

We were all beginning to make choices totally unlike our usual ones, we weren't being ourselves. We were getting reckless, anguished, scared for each other... Salifia and Carla had been trading poisonous fluids back and forth for a few days now, one dropping to the forest floor in pain, the other sucking it out and placing it in their own body. But they weren't smart choices. Our whole group was getting reckless and uncaring for themselves, only for others.

Sure, that was a great friendship quality. But not to be used in extent. One could kill themselves, if they went too far. No, we just weren't being our selves.
