Of course, the human didn't seem to understand panther thoughts, and so she just patted me reassuringly and with pretend relief. Ah, well.

I was in a small, stone room, with my human companions all around me. It seemed as if we were unlucky enough to be trapped.
I yawned, and stood, then stretched.
I looked lazily over to where the others stood, staring, mouths wide open. I must have missed something. Ah, well.
I settled back down for some more sleep. A panther's gotta sleep, ya know.

"Wow. Come on, spill!"
I look up in alarm. No. I had just imagined it. But maybe...
I stepped a little closer.
"Nothing! Really!" Insisted Salifia.
No. This couldn't be happening. Somehow, somewhere along the line, I had begun to be able to understand humans. How and when, I did not know. Only that I was changing, and flashes and bits of some other world - some other animal's memory - flashed through my mind.
What was happening? What was happening to me?

"Well, I suppose it's a possiblility..." replied Mae, biting her lip.
I settled down beside Indigo, and put my head in my paws.

What was that all about? I think, but no one paid me any mind.
"So, somebody sent him." Began Mae.
"Yeah, that much is obvious!" retorted Indigo. Then, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap."
"It's all right - but do you think...do you think the cloned gods could have -"

Humans were odd.
They were all fighting and talking and freezing at the same time, as if it was completely normal. Odd humans.

"Salifia!" squealed Indigo, as she entered the tent. "What are you doing?"
