I just requested Remarkably Bright Creatures from my Library. That seems kinda cook.

I'd do Wild Sky too....especially if Dragon Riding is an extreme sport. I was worried about that one in Fantasy. Even though it is long, it's kindle so probably won't intimidate me that much.

And Janine and I will probably need to wait til later this month to confirm anything. We are waiting for Hunt categories still..

Ugh. I'm reading one for Uno and was hoping to substitute it out. Aliens are not my normal jam, but I'm listening to Hitchhiker's Guide and its great. I can always listen to the others in the series for Sci-Fi.

For Theme Week: would an alien planet or their home "spaceship" qualify.

This has not been my month. Its been really hard to get these books read. I know I have 10 more days, but I don't have enough fluff in between these. :)

Oh boy. I'm giving it my best shot. I'm probably gonna have to read a bit of each of the ones I have left and take a bit to finish.

Okay, finding a body in a snowy graveyard? Not exactly your average night out. I’m still wrapping my brain around how these guys went from partying to being murder suspects in the span of, like, an hour. I get why the police are side-eyeing them—but also, wouldn’t the real killer be long gone?

Character-wise, Alex feels like the ‘responsible’ friend, but you can tell this whole thing is weighing on him. Mondo’s trying to play it cool (classic), but there’s more going on under the surface. Ziggy seems like the one who’s most freaked out—honestly, same. And Weird… well, he lives up to his nickname, but I’m curious if that’ll come back around later.

I'm ready to get started, but it seems like that won't happen for a bit. Ugh. this is why I like short books.

I started this tonight. I think I'm still on the first chapter and so far so good.

I'll be reading this one starting this evening. Its on my Kindle so I'll be reading along a different actual book. I've found actual books kind of intimidating recently so they take me longer and I need to space them out....

Yep. I entered the prompt and then the question. Then remembered I needed book titles and asked for a story.

It helps be be creative cause I'm not usually.

And because I used ChatGPT we can just add more book titles as we want. I picked ones I knew we were buddy reading so anyone who finishes can update.

After a night in a tavern, each member of the party wakes up in the body of another member with no memory of what happened. One party member's body is gone, however, their mind instead resides inside a sentient item... a bag of beans.

And not just any beans—these were enchanted, unpredictable, and, unfortunately, eaten instead of planted. As the party gathers around the bag, it quivers slightly, and a muffled voice emerges. "Well," says Lisa, now trapped in the bag of beans, "at least I don’t have to worry about bad hair days."

Amanda, now inhabiting Jackie’s elven frame, stretches her unfamiliar fingers and sighs. "I guess we're living out a chapter of The Body Swap Chronicles. What do we do now?"

Jackie, currently in Janeylou’s tiny fairy form, flutters above the table. "There has to be a way to fix this. Maybe we need to find a wizard. Someone who specializes in transformations. Or, you know, a good manual like Unbinding the Soul: A Practical Guide."

Janeylou, now in Amanda’s human body, slings a bow over her shoulder with an ease that feels both foreign and oddly empowering. "I say we find the source of these beans. If we ate our way into this mess, maybe there’s a way to eat our way out." She pauses, then grins. "If this were The Curious Case of Cursed Cuisine, the answer would be hidden in some enchanted recipe."

Lisa’s voice, still from the bag, crackles with impatience. "Well, while you all brainstorm, I’d like to stop being a carry-on item, thank you very much. I feel like a Slow Horses over here—dragging along while the rest of you trot around."

Their quest begins with tracking down a rare elixir to undo the magical swap. According to a dusty tome Amanda discovers—aptly titled Beans, Bodies, and Bewitchments—they need three key ingredients:

A Tear of Reflection – Only obtained by facing a magical mirror that reveals the truest form of one's spirit. Each party member must confront their own self-image, even if it means seeing themselves in someone else’s skin. As Jackie remarks, "Sounds like a real Thorn in His Side, if you ask me."

Root of Reversal – Harvested from a plant that grows backward in time. Finding it involves solving a puzzle where every step must be completed in reverse. Rumors say the last adventurers who tried it left behind a journal titled The Distant Echo—their voices still whispering guidance to those who follow.

Essence of Identity – Distilled from a heartfelt confession. Each member must speak aloud the truth of who they are—no matter whose body they currently inhabit. "This is A Time to Rise" Amanda declares, trying to rally the group.

With their new skills mixing and clashing—like Lisa's rogue instincts tangled with Amanda's ranger tracking—the adventure becomes both a logistical challenge and a chaotic bonding experience. Each step brings them closer to restoring their bodies and freeing Lisa from her bean-bag prison. But the real magic might just be learning to understand each other—one swapped skill at a time.

As they press on, a cryptic note left behind by a previous victim warns: "Beware the The Girl Whose Luck Ran Out. She may hold the final clue—or the ultimate curse."
