We can't bank books, so I'll probably leave the ones I did and then just use the larger counts in the future. If we get to Nov, I can start using shorter books.

Can we bank books? For example, I read a book in September with a lower page count and did NOT assign it to a monster. As we get towards the end of the challenge, can I then assign it to a monster? I know once a month is complete we can't change something assigned to a monster, but can I hold and only use if needed?

We are currently in 4th place, so I think I'm going to concentrate on 300 plus pages and bank the shorter ones. I may even remove the two that I did already that are under 300 pages. It might take us longer to finish, but its a 3 month challenge. Not sure we get a bonus if we finish faster than everyone else.

I added a tab to the spreadsheet for "Banked Books". I'll put my under 300 pages here and we can move them out towards the end of Sept as needed.

Maybe we start with over 300 pages and see what happens? We can't change out a book we read in Sept with one in October, but we can if we read them both in Sept or Oct, etc.
I'm going to be unavailable from 9/9 to 9/17.

Question: I read a lot, but most of my books are under 300 pages. Do you want me to use all of my books or only those over 300 pages?
Especially with my vacation, I could be reading up to a book or two a day if they are smaller (like 150-250 pages).

I think we only get those for the bonus monsters, which they haven't released yet.

Just gotta read the epilogue and I'm done. It wasn't bad, but not sure I'd read again.

Donyou mean mermen generally or just..."In general and this one. I've read a few others and just didn't enjoy them as much as the land-based shifter books. Not sure why.

Ok. The other foster sister is apparently part dragon, werewolf, mermaid and phoenix.
There is also a secondary character who is a vampire, one who is a siren

Ok. I'm trying to have an open mind, but for some reason, the water shifters (nessie, mermaids, etc) just aren't my jam. And i'm not sure why.

Yeah. That is one piece that kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Hoping we learn more as we go through it a bit,
Not sure about their history or anything, but there is only so much you can put in 125 pages.

I know. I made a trip to visit my husband in England when he was deployed. Part of the trip was supposed to be in Scotland, but my flight was delayed and I had to miss it. He went on his own. We are going to have to go back.

I've really let my TBR lapse. I'm always looking instead of pulling from my TBR. Maybe I can look and get some new books/authors that way.

I have not done AOM.

I have to say I do love a fated meet cute. I think this qualifies.

I start imagining what would happen if they were. Who of my friends and family are hiding a really deep secret.

I live by Lake Superior. It is the largest in the US and has a number of shipwrecks in it. To my knowledge, we have no mythological creatures living in it though.

Ready when you are. :)

The book I'm reading right now has a half Fae, Half Ogre mc and a Phoenix MC. Any preference for where I put this? I'm sure this book will have more that are NOT MCs, because I know the foster sister is a sprite and they work with other supes, so....It could go a lot of places
