139735 I'd be in for:
Joey
Job Hunt
Just a Taste
Julie Chan is Dead
Just Like Home
Killer Heart
Keeper of Lonely Spirits
Kiss Me, Kit
Kith and Kin
The Kingdoms
Known Associates

Of course some of these are long, so that usually scares me a bit and I'd have to check to see if I can even get a few of them.

Of course I didn't think it would actually work. Pretty sure Donna knows where I live."

I have never heard of home made kitkats, so that's interesting...

I already told Jenny what it is....It’s a wholesome challenge full of love and laughter. Well, I was full of laughter as I helped with the updates. 😆 🦦

139735 Kidnapped by the Pirate is my usual historical read when that came up in Bingo. I like it, so I'd read it with you.

139735 Shan ~A~ wrote: "Hi Lisa, did you come here to drive us crazy like Donna loves to do? 😜🤣"

Oh absolutely. I came to stir the pot, rearrange the puzzle pieces, and whisper unsettling things in your general direction. 😇

Her chaos is loud. Mine smiles and waits. 🎠🍫

Now, who’s ready for snacks and psychological unraveling? Let’s play. 😜

Hi Lisa! So nice to see you here. So, can you tell me what this new challenge is all about? Don't worry. I won't tell Donna that you told me."

I could and would… if KitKats were involved and Donna suddenly lost Wi-Fi.

139735 I think as long as we each read one of the 16, we could fill in with other books...???
Jul 10, 2025 07:46PM

139735 For sure. Taking a break for something you are pretty sure you will enjoy now?
Jul 10, 2025 07:45PM

I get most of hers from the library so I don't have to buy them. But that makes me v v sure I will never give her my money."

Me too. I do support a few an patreon and one on ream, but I get free books when they come out and they are authors I love and would buy anyway.

139735 I try to avoid that, especially this month since Im not doing all the MPG cause historical is not my favorite.

Janine...maybe you can be on my team. I'm not gonna push myself to read more than one book a week. I haven't played the last two I think so I'm giving it another shot.

139735 this is the wrong group to sponsor you to keep you out of challenges? 🤪🤪🤪 we are collectively in a lot. I'm in at least 14 myself.

139735 🧩 Prompt #3: Legacy / Escape
Type: Split Prompt
What this means:
This is a Split Prompt, so each of you will choose one side of the theme — one picks Legacy, the other chooses Escape. Your books will be different but thematically connected.
For this one:
Legacy might mean a character tied to family expectations, carrying on a tradition, facing a prophecy, or dealing with generational weight.
Escape could involve running from the past, resisting control, breaking patterns, or physically leaving a place, person, or situation.
📌 Once you’ve both finished reading, post your Story Stitch (your connection blurb) in the Check-In Thread to unlock your next prompt.
You define the chains — and how to break them. 🗝️🏃‍♀️
