139735 🧩 Prompt # 2: Light & Shadow

Type: Mirror Prompt

What this means:
This is a Mirror Prompt, so you and your partner will both use the same theme — but take opposite approaches.

For this one:
One of you picks Light — a story of hope, healing, goodness, or redemption. Think bright tone, uplifting arcs, or characters striving to do good.

The other picks Shadow — a darker tale with moral ambiguity, sorrow, hidden truths, or twisted motives. Think gritty, mysterious, or emotionally stormy.

📌 Once you’ve both finished reading, post your Story Stitch (your connection blurb) in the Check-In Thread to unlock your next prompt.

You can’t have one without the other — that’s what makes it a mirror. 🌞🌑

It can really be anything that shows the similarities in the books. It can be cover color or really anything.

Why no ChatGPT?

139735 I'm good with whatever.

139735 We only have 4 left. We should be done in time for the next one to start. It's gonna be great!

139735 There are a lot of ways that these connect.

Nico is a car thief who got caught cause he was trying to hide from his grief because his brother died overseas.

Ty needs to start over and reset the narrative after being in an accident that killed his parents and he was severely injured.

Ty, with Nico's help, reconnects with his brother.

Nico has a large family that love him, even though he was arrested.

I like your: No matter how far you run or hide, home will always be where those you love are.

139735 How are things coming along? I'm not in any super hurry, just checking in.

139735 🧩 Prompt #4: Burn It Down / Build It Up

Type: Split Prompt

What this means:
This is a Split Prompt, so each of you will choose one half of the prompt to interpret in your own way. You're reading different books, but they should both reflect transformation — through destruction or creation.

For this one:
Burn It Down might mean rebellion, revenge, breaking free, tearing down systems, or choosing chaos.
Build It Up could be about healing, starting over, creating something new, or rebuilding after loss.

📌 Once you’ve both finished reading, post your Story Stitch (your connection blurb) in the Check-In Thread to unlock your next prompt.

There’s more than one way to light a match — or lay a foundation. 🔥🧱

139735 The Plot Bridge is supposed to show how your two books connect, despite their differences. For Example:Plot Bridge:
“Both books explore power structures shaped by unseen forces — in fantasy and in reality. In Witch King, dark magic and betrayal threaten a kingdom from within. In Our Moon, the pursuit of lunar knowledge was shaped by politics, war, and shifting empires. Magic and science both bend to power — and both leave shadows behind.”

139735 🧩 Prompt # 4: Past & Future

Type: Mirror Prompt

What this means:
This is a Mirror Prompt, so you and your partner are working with the same theme — but from opposite ends of the timeline.

For this one:
One of you will choose a book rooted in the Past — historical fiction, historical fantasy, period pieces, or any story set in a time before now.

The other will choose a book that leans into the Future — science fiction, speculative fiction, dystopian worlds, or forward-looking fantasy.

📌 Once you’ve both finished reading, post your Story Stitch (your connection blurb) in the Check-In Thread to unlock your next prompt.

Time to stretch across the ages. ⏳🚀

139735 Or Longer. some of you get more points for these in the next two months.

139735 I'd be in for:
Joey
Job Hunt
Just a Taste
Julie Chan is Dead
Just Like Home
Killer Heart
Keeper of Lonely Spirits
Kiss Me, Kit
Kith and Kin
The Kingdoms
Known Associates

Of course some of these are long, so that usually scares me a bit and I'd have to check to see if I can even get a few of them.
