139735 I have a list of historical that start with M. I'm having a hard timing wanting to find where they go. 🤪. I may just find random m books and not worry about mpg. ugh. someone decide for me.

139735 I didn't read angels, but this looks good.

139735 Kirsten, where would you put Buffalo Hunter this month? Although, since its MPG horror, maybe wait until Oct? I assume October would be horror month. I am interested in that one too.

I can get this at my library, so I can do this one too.

139735 Sign-Ups here will be backup or can add more if we get even numbers.

139735 For Sure. Not my favorite genre, but a little out of this world makes it easier. Or alt universe where all are allowed to be who they are.

139735 Spellbount and Starcrossed would work for a few (and they were good imo).

Probaly work for Immigrants, intergenerational relationships, friendships across backgrounds (arthur is rich, rory is poor), probably life after loss/displacement and themes of exclusion, given immigrants in 1925 nyc.

139735 My heart breaks for Nico when he meets Rosie for the first time. Ugh.

139735 The Mobster's Mate and Tempest. Those are good too,
139735 Added one for W.

139735 Oh good. Motel. Pool was one I was really interested in.

139735 Here are some I am looking at for July. I haven't figured out if they fit anything, but they are all MPG Historical:

Mongrel
Men of the Cross
Manners & Mannerisms
Merrick
The Missing Page
The Magician's Angel
A Marvellous Light
Murder on the Champs-Élysées
Motel. Pool.
Merrywood Hall

139735 Poly can really be hit or miss. You want everyone to feel equal in the relationship and it doesn't always come out that way.

139735 Do we know how strict she has been with the MPG tags? I found one that is MPG Historical, but doesn't have Fiction on the MPG. Should I just ask in the Q&A?

139735 Historical Fiction is not really my jam, and we get more points for the letter than the MPG (10 vs 5). I'm going to concentrate on one with M (since that seems like a more popular letter) than the historical fiction this month.

Of course if we find a team read I'm all in.

Name: 10 Pts
MPG: 5 Pts
Review: 5Pts
BR: 5 Pts

139735 She does not specify and I could not see a question about Articles.
Jun 21, 2025 11:43AM

139735 It sounds like it would work for the first three but I haven't read it.
Jun 21, 2025 11:31AM

139735 I could probably do any of them:
About transformation or ascension
Involving forbidden or cosmic magic
Characters who wield immense power or gamble with fate
Dealing with consequences of ambition or hubris

I actually think that The Witch and His Doctor might work for all of them.
*Doc is a shifter so he transforms
*Damien has some forbidden magic cast upon him
*Rick's dad wields immense power for the current council
*Rick's dad has a lot of ambition and he goes down for it

139735 Ok. ChatGPT Recommends: 🔮 RECOMMENDED: Use the Godseed
Why?
Because your journey has always danced on the edge of chaos and transformation:

You ate magic beans (instead of planting them!) and accidentally rewrote reality.

You defied a goddess, confronted your shadows, and fused with them instead of destroying them.

You didn’t run from the darkness—you made it part of you.

Choosing to use the godseed continues this pattern. You’re not trying to play it safe or undo what’s been done—you’re evolving.

This path doesn’t mean you become villains. It means you’re willing to risk great change to make something new. It’s hopeful and dangerous at once. And dramatically? It’s the most you.

139735 Ok. Should I go with M or L for my letter? I can pick one, but then can only use that one....
