Standard Challenge Rules
🔗 Pairing Up: You’ll be randomly paired with a partner based on your reading speed and average page count preferences, which you’ll share when signing up in this thread. This helps match you with a reading buddy who’s on a similar wavelength.
🔗 2. Reading the Prompts: Your pair will receive 12 prompts across three types—Mirror, Split, and Wildcard (explained in the intro). You’ll get the prompts one at a time after posting your connection blurbs.
🔗 3. Reading & Posting: For each prompt, read your selected book(s) and post a connection blurb (2–5 sentences) here in the thread. This blurb explains how your and your partner’s books connect, contrast, or complement each other. Don't forget a link to your partner thread.
🔗 4. Unlocking Prompts: Posting your Plot Bridge unlocks the next prompt for your pair. No blurb, no next prompt — keeping everyone engaged and connected.
🔗 5. Flexible Pace: Take your time! This challenge is designed for you to read at your own pace—no rush, no pressure. Just enjoy the journey with your partner and let the stories unfold naturally.

🔗At Your Own Pace Partner Challenge🔗
👥July 1st 2025 to December 31st 2026👥
🎯Sign Ups Close: 6/24/2025
🎯Partner's posted: 6/26/2025
🎯First Prompt: 6/29/2025
**Book must be completed AFTER 7/1/2025.
You and your partner are about to embark on a reading journey that’s as much about connection as it is about books. Over 12 unique prompts, you’ll explore stories through different lenses—collaborating, contrasting, and surprising each other along the way.
Here’s how it works:
Mirror Prompts: You both receive the same prompt, but your challenge is to interpret opposites or contrasting angles within it. Think of it as two sides of the same narrative coin.
Split Prompts: Each partner picks a different prompt from the pair’s assigned options and reads a book inspired by their choice. Separate paths, one theme.
Wildcard Prompts: Each partner picks one prompt, then your partner gives you three book options to choose from for that prompt. Surprise and collaboration wrapped in one!
To move forward, you’ll both read your selected books, then post a short Plot Bridge explaining how your choices relate, clash, or complement each other. Posting this unlocks the next prompt for your pair.
Flexible pacing means you can take your time, work at your own speed, and savor the experience. Your partner is your co-navigator through this narrative web, helping you discover unexpected connections across genres and styles.
