What's next for you in YA?

Can I ask about Mortal Danger? There's a lot of cool folklore/mythology in that series. Can you tell us how the idea came to you?

Will we ever see you set a book in Mexico?

Not at this time.

They haven't updated the IMDB site yet but the film won't be out this year since they haven't even started filming yet. =) It's in the works though. No cast at this time.

Yes. Once the book is released in paperback the hardbacks become more rare. You might be able to still find one on B & N in the online store.

I never studied to be a writer at all though I certainly enjoyed it and I loved reading. I went to school to be a teacher for the Deaf.

I know right? I have a couple of series waiting to go that I know I bungled with editors when I couldn't describe them properly.

I've been able to hook most of my nieces and nephews on old-school Bugs Bunny and Pepe Le Pew =)

That's always hard for me. Especially with editors. I get very excited about something but it's hard for me to explain it. I usually just say, "then this really cool things happens and oh, I just can't wait to show you. There will be shiny gadgets and an underground world, etc." They never seem to get it.

Huh. Interesting. Next time I come to Texas I have to meet the rabbit.

I often write down my dreams if there is something that caused me to feel emotions. Just the other day I dreamed a whole prologue and wrote it down. Those characters fascinate me. I want to know them better.

We lost our dog to old age in 2010. It took four years to get another dog. When we finally did and made an appointment with the vet, he said, "It's about time. I've been wondering why it was taking so long." Now that I have dogs again, I am also wondering why. I love them to death. It's just a LONG commitment and I was all alone when my poodle died. It was really hard to lose her.

What about claws? I get an image of them rearing up and clawing you like a kangaroo. Not their personality?

I have always wondered about rabbits. They seem to be so sweet.
