That they punish the gargoyles and act as slaveholders felt right to me. It was a risky decision, since I'm sure some people may have been offended, but it just felt right :-) "It's such an interesting idea. The angelic order could be a whole other series I think.
Page wrote: "I love editing and revising, and while I would love to say I'd be an archaeologist like Indiana Jones, I'm not sure that would work out :-)
And my favorite books are: Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton, Pride & Prejudice, anything by Jennifer Donnelly, and I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith. "I despise editing. It always freaks me out that I'll accidentally cut out something important. I need to read Ethan Frome. I've read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and the zombies were the only parts I could stay awake through. Love any of the P & P movies but sleep through the books.
Page wrote: "You were working on Reawakened at that point, right? I can't wait to read it! "I will ask Krista to send you one =)
Page wrote: "But I would say action/fight scenes are much more difficult for me."Fight scenes are hard for me too. I always have to enlist the help of my brother who acts them out for me. =)
Page wrote: "Susan Dennard's Something Strange and Lovely comes to mind. Loved it!! "I just picked this one up at RT! It's been on my TBR list for a while. Speaking of which, what books are on your TBR list right now?

Let's talk titles. I really like how the title reflects the characters. So do you think Beautiful, Lovely, and Wondrous reflects Gabby or Ingrid more? Then, also, Cursed, Lost, and Wicked. Who exactly is the most wicked would you say?
Page wrote: "I was so happy with how excited Random House was for the book! "I just think it's so cool that we have the same publisher and editor! We should tour together sometime =)
Page wrote: "Shara, I would bring the chocolate filled croissants FIRST"I second the chocolate filled croissants!
Brian wrote: "Page I have a question that might seem a little on the silly side. Did you ever watch the old Disney cartoon Gargoyles? That's what I automatically think of when it comes to your books."I loved that one! Wish it was still around. Those were some cool gargoyles.
Page wrote: "I wanted to give the books a dark, Gothic feel and with Paris, I could very easily do that. And of course, all the gargoyle statues and old churches/architecture were perfect for the book. "You certainly achieved that! It's such a refreshing theme in YA literature too. Was selling a gothic paranormal romance a hard thing in the current publishing climate?

What does a Duster do exactly? Is it just having demon blood? Does angel blood work too? Is that something that happens at conception or is it something they can give you?
Page wrote: "The ideas for the Angelic Order, the Fallen Angel and demon-blooded Dusters, were all a product of my imagination as well"Can you tell us more about the Angelic Order?
Page wrote: "The great thing about fantasy and paranormal is that you can build complex mythologies, and that was my favorite part of writing these books!"And the whole mythology part is amazing! I love the demons and angels and that the gargoyles sit somewhere between.

Did I tell you all that I met Page in Arizona last spring? We were both at the Tuscon Book Festival and I descended upon her with all my sisters who live in Tuscon.

So glad to have you here Page!

Yay! So excited to talk about this series! It's one of my favorites.

Max wrote: "Yeah, Colleen, I LOVE THE TIGERS CURSE SERIES! Its so good and can't wait for Tigers Dream to come out. Its been two long year practically!"I know. It's been a while. I'd love to get back to it. Especially because I don't want to forget anything!
Miranda wrote: "Hello Colleen! I'm sure you get asked this all of the time but I cannot seem to find it, do you have a release date for Tiger's Dream? Thanks! :)"Not at this time. I'm still seeking a publisher for it.
