You write old-school on one of those typewriter thin-a-ma-bobs like Tera Lynn right? Do you edit on that too?

Do you have pets? My dogs keep me company when I write. Speaking of which what are your must haves when working? Do you have a mini-fridge near your desk? That is one of my best friends.
Sophie wrote: "I devoured Victoria Holt ... thankfully by the time I discovered her she had published over 40-50-60 books ... I dunno, some huge number like that. "I remember reading a few of hers and they were memorable ;) There was this one about an Arabian Prince...hmm wonder if that inspired my books a bit.
Sophie wrote: "Captain America, baby! He's an old school hero ... and kind of doesn't feel like he fits in anywhere. I love the fish out of water hero/heroines."Ooh he's very dreamy. I so loved him as the nerdy kid in the movie too. He's got such a sense of goodness about him. Like him a lot!
Sophie wrote: "I'm very inspired by the graphic novel, BANSHEE"I've never heard of this one. I need to break into reading graphic novels. Has there been any buzz about Firelight being turned into a graphic novel? I think they'd be gorgeous! I'd love to see the draki!
Sophie wrote: "Hm, does a latte count as a writing muse? lol "Ha ha it totally could. I guess a better question would be, do you have a single moment when your imagination was fired by a character or a book or something that inspired you to be a writer?

Who is your favorite superhero and why? I've been having an argument with C.J. Redwine about this for a while =) She is a total Batman fan.
Sophie wrote: "Ohhhh, yes! See maybe that was buried in my subconscious!"I love those kinds of stories.

Do you have a writing muse?

What were your favorite books growing up?
Sophie wrote: "My creatures come out of the earth and they are called "Dark Dwellers" They have poor vision but operate very well in darkness ... and the world is one of darkness ... which is great for the dwellers and not so great for the humans. "That sounds so cool! A bit of H. G. Wells Time Machine?
Sophie wrote: "Colleen wrote: "Sophie wrote: "The latest hope ... and endeavor ... regarding FIRELIGHT, is leaning towards a TV series. So keep those fingers crossed! "
I just read recently that The Mortal Instr..."That would be so awesome and she'd have to play two characters, Jacinda and her twin sister too! That's a challenge actors seem to love exploring.
Sophie wrote: "Linda wrote: "Hey Sophie! So I was wondering if you've ever thought about writing one of your books but from the male's perspective? Or perhaps changing the perspective to third person for a new bo..."I've been curious to give this a try. All my books are first person so far other than the prologues and epilogues. Haven't done dual perspective yet.
Sophie wrote: "The latest hope ... and endeavor ... regarding FIRELIGHT, is leaning towards a TV series. So keep those fingers crossed! "I just read recently that The Mortal Instruments was going to television mostly because there is just too much happening in there for it to work in a two hour film so I'm excited about the television prospect. It would be cool to explore Jacinda's world even more.
Makeit wrote: "Oh! Forgot to ask... What about the Firelight movie? Is it really going to be one? How is that coming together?"Yes I want to know this too!
Sophie wrote: "I pitched it as: a girl-Riddick meets Game of Thrones meets The Walking Dead meets Tangled. "Futuristic? Alternate reality? And then are there zombies? Hmm long haired zombies? Zombies that eat hair instead of brains ;)
Misti wrote: "Hi Sophie,
Huge fan. What made you decide to introduce a new love interest in Unleashed? Why not keep Sean as her future beau?"Ooh good question. I've been wondering that too. Not that I'm complaining. I really like the new guy.
Sophie wrote: "Colleen wrote: "What is your favorite cartoon?"
Lately I really love GRAVITY FALLS. Have you seen it? It's the perfect paranormal cartoon! Soooo creepy. And funny."I haven't heard of it. Googling it now.
Sophie wrote: "Another difference: I publish a YA every year ... sometimes longer. But when I write adult fiction, the publisher wants those books out a lot quicker. So I write my adult novels much faster -- 2-3 a year. "That's a lot of books in a year! Are adult romance readers just more demanding do you think? Have different expectations?

And the live chat begins! So excited about this one. Sophie is one of my bestest friends and she writes some of my favorite YA reads!
