125752 Pick Me Challenge!!!

1. Create a new shelf or update your existing shelf on your bookshelf that includes approximately 20 books that you would like to have someone use to pick a book for you to read. Books will only be selected from the shelf you choose.

2. By the end of the month, post in this thread that you want to participate and provide a link to your Pick Me shelf. (If you've participated before, I already have your link and you don't have to re-post it.)

3. On the first day of the month I’ll use the randomizer to pair up everyone.

4. Friend your partner who is picking for you or set your profile to public or your partner will not be able to access your shelf.

5. You have until the 3rd of the month to post your selection for your partner in this thread.

6. Come back after finishing the book selected for you by your partner (even if it's after the month has ended) and let everybody know what you think about it.

Sign up period will remain open until the end of this month.

Is this the same one the vet said had water filled sacks with no kittens?

125752 Have we read this or talked about reading this? Not that I'm recommending anything. At my current snail reading pace, I can barely get through a book or two a month. Just curious.

125752 Kari, that's just awful. I'm sorry you had to put up with that. You need clarification from your boss as to what that customer can and can't do. I'm sure being harassed is not part of your job description.

125752 I'm hoping to chill with a glass of wine and enjoy the game Sunday night. Earlier Sunday we are having a bday party for my grandson. He'll be 3 years old and such a little man already.

It's supposed to be rainy tomorrow so I may just - do nothing. :-)

I can't believe so many SB parties are canceled for you guys. :-(

Both of my parents had a 'situation' at church as children. In separate countries from each other and neither in the US. As adults, those child experiences caused them to raise us kids in a more liberated manner from the church. Other than for special occasions, I don't remember them ever forcing us to attend. It was always our choice to go or not.

All that to say, things have gone on in the background for a very long time. In my opinion, likely gone on since the beginning.
